GVT - Trick or Treat

Hello everyone! Garden Variety Tuesday is up at The Greeting Farm. The theme is, can you guess, it's Halloween. I brought out an oldie but goodie from my TGF stash, Lolli Anya. Some of you might have been able to get her when she was re-released on a Farmer's Market Sale on the TGF Website. I love her!

Here is my card. I just used one pattern paper that totally matched her lollipop. She is colored with my Copics and accented with Orange Peel and Star Dust Stickles. I used chalk for her blush instead of a Copic color. This technique was inspired by fellow DT Member Rosie, you can see her blog post here.

This is my fourth Halloween themed card this month and there is still plenty of days left to create more before the big day! I hope you enter your creations for this GVT challenge over at the TGF Blog. Have fun!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Hat's Where It's At!

Hey guys! Happy Tuesday! It's time to play the Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The theme is "Hats"! Go through your TGF stash and find an image with a hat. There are plenty to choose from.

Here is my card using OA Fuzzy Wuzzy. He's soo cute in his cozy hat, all bundled up. I went with a winter theme and I chose red/grey and a baby blue as my color palette. I still have a ton leftover of chevron paper from my sister's wedding and I need to use it. Oliver is colored with my Copics and I added some Star Dust Stickles on his fuzzy hat.

I used my favorite and only doily die from Cheery Lynn on some red cardstock and wax paper (easier to peel off from the die than vellum). The sentiment "Let It Snow" is from Hero Arts. Lastly, I added some silver flat back pearls on the top corner.

Go get your TGF hat image and play along with us on this challenge over at the TGF Blog and GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Head Start on the Holidays

What? the Holidays? It's still October! For the Garden Variety Tuesday challenge, it's all about getting a "Head Start on the Holidays". Let's get started.....

Here is my card using Beanie Anya (retired). I was able to pick her up from last month's Farmer's Market Sale over at The Greeting Farm. She is colored with my Copics and also paper pieced. I added some poinsettia die cuts with green flat back pearl centers. I also added some to her beanie.

I haven't bought any new holiday papers yet this year, I just pulled from my stash. It's never too early to start making Christmas cards. I know Halloween hasn't even passed yet, but if you are ready to start your cards for December, why not enter them in this challenge over at the TGF Blog (just make sure you use a TGF image).

Okay TTYL! Have a beautiful week!

GVT - Color Challenge

ALOHA! Today's Garden Variety Tuesday is a Color Challenge - Berry, Pink & Blue/Aqua. Check out the awesome creations from the DT over at The Greeting Farm. I had just some 12x12 paper pads recently and I had the perfect color match for this challenge. Here is my card:

The image I'm using is Fleur Anya. She is colored with my Copics and all glittered up with Star Dust Stickles. I framed her out with my Spellbinders Doily die and added some I Am Roses flowers (3/4" & 1/4") on the corner. I die cut some letters to spell out Aloha. I didn't have the raspberry/pink color CS, so I used my Copic RV19 to color some cardstock, then I die cut the letters from that.

This color combo was fun to play with, I hope you can take the time to play with us over at the TGF Blog

Have a happy Tuesday!

GVT - Sketch

Hi everyone, I'm starting off this crafty week with a card for the Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge - Sketch over at The Greeting Farm. Here is the sketch that I am using:

I love sketches, they make it so easy to create a card, just follow the sketch and you're done. Some people use sketches as a guide and change things up a bit but I usually stay the course and follow it verbatim. Here is my card using Picture Perfect.

I colored the girl image with my Copics, I kept her black & white, focusing the color on the camera. The camera is covered in Star Dust Stickles and I used Glossy Accents on the lenses and drew shine marks with my white gel pen. All the flowers are from I Am Roses. The Smile sentiment is from Delicate Words Die. I didn't have matching cardstock for that chartreuse green color, so I combined two Copic colors and colored on white cardstock, then I cut the die from that.

Give this sketch a try and enter your project over at the TGF Blog. Have a great day!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Textures

Hi everyone! I also want to welcome my new followers on my blog. Thank you for taking the time to see what crafty things I'm up to. Now on to this week's Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge - Textures over at The Greeting Farm. Here is my card using Royal Cutie Pies. This set comes with two girl images, I used the other one on this post here

I tried to include as many textures as possible on this card. First let's start off with the base of the card, it's corrugated. To make this more feminine, I added a layer of lace trim and a doily cut out. The pink ribbon has a printed grid pattern and I added a heart rhinestone for bling. The image itself has many textures. Her crown is covered with Yellow Stickles and her top is covered with Star Dust Stickles. I used Glossy accents on the heart of the crown, as well has her ribbons on her hair and shoes. Her cute pink skirt was first layered with Glossy Accents and then covered with Diamond Dust (a chunky type of glitter). There were so many components on this card, I hope that it all flows together.

Now you don't have to go all crazy like me on this challenge, just do what feels right to you. Come join this challenge over at the TGF Blog!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Inspiration Photo

Today over at The Greeting Farm, this Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge is a Photo Inspiration/Color Combo.

I chose to do the Color Combo aspect from the photo. Here is my card.

I used Birthday Anya 3 and the 6x6 papers from EP Sweet Day. I hope I got the colors correct. I decided to draw little hearts on her skirt with my Copic marker. The heart in her hair and the cake are covered with Star Dust Stickles. I had some leftover heart embellishments and since they were all glittered up, I thought that they would look cute on the card.

I didn't think that I would be able to pull these colors together from my stash, but I was able to find pattern paper and coordinating Copic markers. Hopefully you can do the same. Come join us in this challenge over at the TGF Blog

GOOD LUCK!!

Good morning! Happy Tuesday to you guys. This GVT challenge is Stickers! Head on over to The Greeting Farm to play along.

Here's my card using Birthday Anya 3. She is colored with my Copics and I place a cupcake sticker on top of the cake image that she is holding. I also incorporated some banner stickers from my stash on the top & bottom of the card. The chevron paper and grey cardstock are leftovers from a project.

GVT - Color Challenge

Hello, hello! It's a color challenge for this

over at The Greeting Farm. Here is your color combo: Aqua, Yellow, Black, Grey

The image I used is the new release Frou Frou Birthday. She measures just below 5", she's about the same size as the Big Anya's. I partially colored her with my Copics and paper pieced the rest of her. This card is pretty much a one layer card, not including the layers of the paper pieced parts. I just stamped the image straight on to the card and colored her. I doodled a little line border and embellished the corners with some mini grey pearls.

I added some Stickles.....wait I didn't, I totally forgot to, GASP! Oh well, I did at it the end after this post was written LOL. I cannot not add some kind of sparkle. =)

Okay there you have my card for this color challenge. Come and join us over at the TGF Blog, get inspired by the Designers' creations and enter to win!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - CAS

Hello everyone, it's a CAS (Clean And Simple) challenge for this

over at the The Greeting Farm.

It can't get any more Clean And Simple, well I'm sure it can but this is my card.

The lovely gal that I'm using is Fancy Anya. She is colored with my Copics, her dress and barrette are paper pieced and covered with some Stickles. I kept the layering in the background to a minimum, added some flat back pearls and seam binding.

This challenge is easy, keep it Clean, keep it Simple and enter to win! Head on over to the TGF Blog.

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Sketch

What's up Tuesday! Come and join us for our Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm.

It's sketch time! This one is from the talented Annie Rose.

Here is my card using CC Tuesday Premiere. She may look a little different, she went and got her hurr did! LOL. Growing up playing with Barbie's, I never could leave their long and luscious hair alone, I would always chop it off. I guess some habits never die, hehehe. I gave her a cute little trim or she could have it in a loose bun =) Anywhoo, she's all fancied up for a party.

The image is colored with my Copics and glittered with my Stickles. Come over to the TGF Blog and play along, you just might win!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Pink/Blue & Kraft

Happy Tuesday!

Here is today's color GVT Challenge over at The Greeting Farm:

Kraft/Pink/Blue

I used WS Charlotte Chic and the Film & Polaroid Die Set for this card. The die set comes with three dies, I used all them (film strip, Polaroid frame, heart). I love the dotting technique that I used to color her hair with my Copics. Her outfit is paper pieced. You might recognize the doily in the background, I used it on a previous card w/Cheeky Lessons. It's by far my favorite doily die. You might see it again in another project LOL.

Inside the Polaroid frame, I place some vellum in the inner square and laid the heart die cut in the center. The filmstrip die was cut from kraft paper. To finish the card, I added some pearls and a wood Polaroid veneer.

I loved playing with this color combo. Give it a try and enter to win over at the TGF Blog.

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Sketch

Hi all! It's Sketch time for this Garden Variety Tuesday challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog.

Here is the Sketch for you to play with:

And here is my card.

I kept my interpretation of this sketch simple. You can embellish the heck out of it if you like =). I love her little outfit, I paper pieced it with the coordinating DP. The only parts of the image (Baby Anya & Ian) that were colored with my Copics were the face, hair and the bow. I added some Stickles to the bow for some sparkle.

Easy peasy, come and give this sketch a try using TGF images and enter it over at the TGF Blog.

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Girly Girl

Garden Variety Tuesday time! Hey guys I am hosting this challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog today. The theme I chose is "Girly Girl".

I made this card using the new Baby Anya & Ian stamp set. I stamped the giraffe on designer paper. I colored the spots with my Copics, as well as the heart. I added some Star Dust Stickles on her bum. I stamped the sentiment on some vellum that's embossed in white embossing powder.

I had this banner stamp and embossed it on vellum paper, underneath it I put some text paper. There is also text paper under the circle cut out.

To add some more girlyness to this card, I used some pink/white flowers from I Am Roses and also added some white stamens. Another piece I added from my stash of scraps was this embossed doily stamp image.

I went for a girly, frilly, delicate and sweet look for this challenge =) Come play and enter for a TGF image!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - 1/5/5

Hello it's me again. It's the Garden Variety Tuesday challenge over at The Greeting Farm. Here is my card using the NEW June Release Baby Onesie Die. This is one of my favorite dies that I own so far. It is so stinkin' cute!

This challenge is 1-5-5...You can use 1 of something, 5 of something and so on. For this card, my 1 is the Baby Onesie Die, the 5 is five pattern papers, and the other 5 is five embellishments ( 2 mini clothespins and 3 buttons).

This is a very simple baby card and I just love how it turned out (because if I didn't, I wouldn't be showing it...LOL). So head on over to the TGF Blog and play along!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Photo Inspiration

It's Photo Inspiration time for this Garden Variety Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm

Here is my card using an image from the Rock the Farm Set (Retired). Parts of the image is paper pieced and colored with my Copics. I used four dies fromTGF: Delicate Words Die, Mini Clouds w/Die, TGF Fence Die and the Tulip Border Die.

The little heart that I used to dot the "i" is actually the one from the TGF Fence Die. When I layered the fence die and the tulip border dies together, I cut off some of the tulips and I like how it doesn't completely block the fence in the background.

Thanks for stopping by and come and play along this GVT over at the TGF Blog.

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Blue & Green

Hello Tuesday. Not feeling good today, but the show must go on! Today is Garden Variety Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm Blog. The colors to use are Blue & Green. I made a card using My Guy Ian.

The paper is from Jilibean Soup - Spotted Owl Soup. It's a birthday pack and has cute owls. I've been really liking flat cards lately, so easy to mail and you don't have to worry about all the dimensional stuff. Oh you can't forget about the Stickles for some added sparkle. I placed the glittler glue on the owl's party hat and some of the polka dots.

This color combo of Blue & Green can be either Masculine of Feminine. Please join us for this GVT Challenge. I'll see you back on Friday for another Farm Fresh Friday.

GOOD LUCK!
