Decembrrr

Happy Tuesday! Here are my projects using the new stamp set Decembrrr from Avocado Arts.

Let's Go!

Card 1: Thanks SNOW much
I made an oval easel card. Not your traditional Christmas color combo, but I went for a frosty bold look with the blue & black. I created this cute winter scene using the snowman, snowflakes and tree images. All colored with my Copics. For the puffy snow, I used Liquid Applique in white, love the dimensional effect it gives. The sentiments "Decembrrr" & "Thanks SNOW much" are one of the many from the stamp set. I added some snowflake die cuts and flowers to finish the card.

Tag 1: SNOW good to see you
Next up, I made this cute reindeer tag. The reindeer is from the Hollydays stamp set.

I used the tree image again, stamped and fussy cut it out several times to use in the background. "SNOW good to see you" is another sentiment in the Decembrrr stamp set. I coordinated this tag with my previous card. Oh did I forget to mention that I added the biggest red shiner for the nose? Adorbs!

Tag 2: You're SNOW wonderful
For my second tag, I used the pair of penguins in the stamp set. I colored them with my Copics and fussy cut them. Look they're holding hands! LOL I had this snowflake doily die and cut it twice, added some dimensional foam adhesive and layered them. I doodled some dots for a pierced look on the background. I used more of that Liquid Applique for the snow effect. The "You're SNOW wonderful" is yet another phrase included in the set.

Hope you enjoyed my projects for you. Thanks for stopping in today!

Merry Merry Merry

Hello everyone! A new challenge is up over at 7 Kids Challenge Blog, "Anything Goes". I created a holiday tag.....Christmas is fast approaching!

The designer papers are from Simple Stories - Cozy Christmas. The tag measures approx. 4" x 7. The sentiment "Merry Merry Merry Merry" is from Mama Elephant - Merry Greetings. I've used this on other projects as well and I still have many sentiments yet to use.

For the background, I added a Doodlebug Designs Paper Doilies - Lily White. I am in love with the Prima White 5-Petal Flower Trim. I cut the individual flowers and adhered it several places on the tag. I also layered it with a mini crochet flower from my stash. I finished off the tag with an extra large eyelet and some jute rope tied in a bow.

I'm sure that this tag will adorn one of my presents for the holidays.

Come join in on the fun over at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog!

Let it Snow

Happy Saturday! Today I'm haring a holiday gift tag. I decided to take a mini break from Halloween.

Let's get started with what I used to create this tag. The designer papers are from Lawn Fawn Snow Day. The cute snowman image, colored with Copics, is from Penny Black Christmas with Mimi. I created the snow slopes using the stitched Landscape Trio Dies from Mama Elephant. Lastly, a bit of sparkle was missing, so I had to add just a few Sequins and the Wink of Stella pen in Clear on the snowman.

This was easy to create, even with an empty tank of craft mojo =) Hope you liked it.

Don't forget to join the current "Anything Goes" Challenge (with a Twist, using Ribbon or Lace) over at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! Have a gorgeous weekend!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Anything Goes w/Twist

Happy Wednesday! It's time for a NEW Challenge over at the 7Kids Challenge Blog.

Let's get started, the theme is "ANYTHING GOES with an optional twist of TAGS".
You are to create a TAG or include one in your project.

I made a circle tag for a little something for someone who has the sickies =) I used this mason jar mug and filled it up with jumbo marshmallows and some hot cocoa packets. I used Lawn Fawn products for the tag: On the MendGet Well Soon/Get Well Soon Die Cuts and Chit Chat Custom Dies

The little ladybug (On the Mend) fit perfectly in the medicine jar (Get Well Soon)! With a lttle masking, I was able to ommit the image of the label. Of course I couldn't forget about the cute bandaid images with the smiley faces. The large image is from On the Mend and the small images are from Get Well Soon

The sentiment "sorry you caught a bug!" is from On the Mend and I used a scalloped word bubble die from Chit Chat Custom Dies. The tag measures 3" and I added some faux stitching for detail. The tag hangs from jute rope that is wrapped around the lip of the jar.

Cute and simple to make for a sick friend in need of some TLC!

Come join us!

 GOOD LUCK!!!

IAR Flower Embellishment Tags

Happy MAY!! Here are some tags that I made for the I Am Roses Challenge this month. The theme is Spring and Tags.

I go to my fair share of Crops with my crafty friends, so I always want to make a little something special for them. I created these Flower Embellishment Tags. Basically I didn't permanently adhere the flowers to the tags.

The flowers (tulips, s10's, mini daisies, roses) are held on the tag with washi tape. The flat daisy petal is secured with a decorative paper clip. The house wood veneer is attached with a glue dot.

It might be hard to take this tag apart but if you want to use the goodies, a crafter's gotta do what a crafter's gotta do! LOL I had the perfect tulip stamp by Avocado Arts (Sassy Chick) and also some decorative tulip border tape. There is also a sun image underneath the white daisy. I cut up a white paper doily to lay the flowers on top of.

Tags are easy to make, just pretend it's a card, just a different size. Hope you all join this challenge to win I Am Roses flowers! Head on over to the Challenge Blog to see the other creations by the Designers and to submit your project.

Have a fabulous May!

IAR January Challenge

Hello 2014! Happy New Year everyone! It's only the 1st day of the year and I already have a project for you. I created this for the January IAR Challenge going on at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. Here I made some tags out of my mason jar die from Sizzix.

I created 2 large tags and 1 small tag. Here is a video of myself constructing one of the large tags.

I loved using the 1", 1/2" Roses in clusters. My fave filler from IAR are the foam head stamens.

These would be cute to attach to homemade gifts or baked goodies.

July IAR Challenge - Featured Flower

Hey guys, I have another post for you today. Here I am sharing my project that I made for the July Challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog.

Here is the tag I made.

The featured flowers are the new Lilies (LY). Aren't they gorgeous. If you want to win some, head on over to the I Am Roses Challenge Blog for more details on this month's challenge.

I finally gave in and got a Prima Dolls Stamp by Julie Nutting. I also used the coordinating Tag set. On the background of the tag, I sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in the colors Plumeria Pink and Creme Brulee Cream. The image of the girl is colored with my Copics and I paper pieced her entire outfit. One requirement of the challenge is to use vellum, here instead of using designer paper, I used vellum for my doily die. The paper collection I used is from DCWV the Primrose Collection.

I made a cluster of the lilies, added some stamens and used seam binding for the ribbon up top. I had a leaf and mini butterflies punches by Martha Stewart and I used vellum for that also.

At the bottom of the card is another cluster of lilies, stamens and vellum leaves. Underneath it all are some two toned maple leaves. Added some die cuts and pearls to finish off the tag.

This was fun to make and the lilies are to die for! Come join us and enter to win the new Lilies!

GOOD LUCK!!

Winter Wonderland Tag Swap

TGIF! Hi everyone, here is a tag that I made for a "Winter Wonderland" themed swap over on YouTube. I used some KARLAS001 Etsy goodies. I incorporated some of the pearl sprays in her store. I was going for a shabby vintage look. The color palette was kept very neutral. The only pop of color in the tag is the colored snowman and the light blue spray in the background. The pearl sprays looked so delicate, like tiny little snowballs.

I embossed the snowman with white embossing powder and colored it in with my LSG Magicals in Azure Sea Asters. For added shimmer, I sprayed the whole tag with Scintillating Silver. I was able to use mostly what was in my stash on this tag and I didn't have to buy a darn thing LOL.

Now that I'm finished with this swap I can finally put all my Christmas stamps, papers, embellishments away! Time to move on to Valentine's Day themed projects...stay tune! Have a great weekend everybody =)
