MCT 40th Edition Release Blog Hop

Hello and WELCOME to the MCT 40th Edition Release Blog Hop! If you are going in the hop order, you should be coming from Veronica's Blog. Since I missed out on Day 3 of the Sneak Peaks, my project is showcasing the "Hello Frame Dies".

"Hello Frame Dies"

Supplies:
MCT - Hello Frame Dies
Echo Park - We Are Family 6x6 Paper Pad
QuicKutz Metal Sheets
Doodlebug - Beetle Black Pearls

I created a masculine card. The designer paper had this bicycle image that went perfect with the MCT Way To Go Stamp Set die. The MCT Hello Frame Dies coordinates with the MCT Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. The bicycle is partially cut and I like how it just peeks out in the background. I first cut the frame in black cs, then again with some metal sheets that I had. I snipped off the "Hello" in the metal sheet and layered it over the original word. Just to throw it in, I added the "hashtag" from the MCT Social Media Dies, again cut from the metal sheet. Lastly, I added some black pearls on the bottom corner.

I hope you've enjoyed the Blog Hop so far, you have one more stop to make and that's Vicky's Blog.  I had so much fun creating with the New Release and hope that you all have been inspired with all the fabulous creations from the Design Team.

MCT Sneak Peeks Day 4

Hello Thursday! I missed out on yesterday's sneaks but i'm back with Sneak Peek Day 4 of the My Creative Time 40th Edition Release! Wasn't that "Hello Frame Die" fabulous?! Okay here's the last of the Sneak Peaks and we saved the best for last, well I think.

Today we are showcasing two sets: "Mini Chalkboard Tags" and "Milk Carton Die".

Supplies:
MCT - Mini Chalkboard Tags
MCT - Milk Carton Die
MCT - To A Cute Little Chickie
DCWV Sunday Afternoon
White CS
Sequins
Copic Markers
Chickie: Y13/Y17/Y21

Ummm, hello? Isn't this freakin cute! I cut the "Milk Carton Die" using white cs and I layered designer paper all around. I used the "Fun Stitched Edges Dies" on the top of the paper and the "Stitched Grass Die" layered around the box. Not only is it a treat box, I did a little shaker in the front using the "To A Cute Little Chickie" stamp and coordinating die set. You'll notice that most of my projects all coordinate because I am using pretty much the same designer paper collection.

Stayed with the Easter theme and used the sentiment "Happy Easter" from "Mini Chalkboard Tags" with coordinating die. For the closure at the top, I used the "Fun Size Scallop Stitched Bow Die" and adhered it to a small clothespin.

So there is my last project for the Sneak Peeks but I still have one more to share tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

MCT Sneak Peeks Day 2

Happy Tuesday! I'm back with Sneak Peek Day 2 of the My Creative Time 40th Edition Release! If you liked the Chickie set, then you'll love this, purr-fect for you cat lovers!

Today we are showcasing this set: "You Had Me At Meow!".

Supplies:
MCT - You Had Me At Meow!
DCWV The Pets Stack
Black CS
Copic Markers
Kitten: B00/B0000/C1/R81
Bow: R27/R39

I've been meaning to use this Pet Stack from DCWV designer paper and it goes fabulous with this stamp set, also it has coordinating dies. The kitten is colored with my Copic Markers and highlighted with my Wink of Stella Clear Pen. The heart dies are from MCT - Stitched Scallop Heart Dies. For the middle inner heart, I stamped the little fish bone along the edge. The set also comes with a bow image and coordinating die, which I adhered to her cute little tail. There is a sentiment "You had me at Meow" in the set, but I masked off "meow" and stamped the other "MEOW" image in it's place. Hahaha does that make sense?

Hope you liked my card and that you are enjoying all the other Designers' creations. As always, thanks for stopping by!

MCT Guest Designer and Sneak Peeks Day 1

Happy Monday everyone! I have some exciting news to announce. I have been invited to be a Guest Designer for My Creative Time!  If you are not familiar with this company, get with it! LOL. Emma, the owner, is one of the sweetest crafters out there. She sells high quality Stamps and Dies and produces educating and inspiring YouTube videos over on her channel here. I am honored to be working alongside her talented Design Team!

We are showcasing two sets today, the first one: "A Cute Little Chickie".

Supplies:
MCT - A Cute Little Chickie
DCWV Sunday Afternoon
BoBunny Wasabi Double Dot
Copic Markers
Chickies: Y13/Y17/Y21

I created this mini scene with the two chickies and the baby chickie in this stamp/die set. They're colored with my Copic Markers and cut out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment "Welcome, sweet baby!" is also from the set. The grass was made with the MCT - Stitched Grass Die. To throw in some whimsy, I used the MCT - Stitched Party Dies for the banner.

The second Sneak Peek is: "Wishing You..."

Supplies:
MCT - Wishing You...
DCWV Sunday Afternoon
Bunny Brads
Vellum CS
Sequins

I made this cute shaker card. I have all these sequins, I might as well use them. This stamp has a beautiful sentiment perfect for Easter, "Wishing you PEACE, LOVE and HAPPINESS at Easter and always!". I used several MCT Dies - Stitched Grass, Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Dies and Fun Stitched Edges. I also had the cutest bunny brads ever!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Deer

Happy Monday! I wanted to share a Christmas card that I created using the My Creative Time - Oh Deer Stamp Set.  These little reindeers are soo freakin' adorable. This stamp set also comes with coordinating dies, which I used rather than the stamps.

I had some old holiday paper (Martha Stewart Holidays) and it went perfect with the dies. I didn't have brown cardstock on hand, so I just used my Copic marker (E49) and colored the die cuts. For a bit more detail on the reindeer, I used a white gel pen to add tiny dots on the antlers, hooves and a few on it's bum =) Oh and I can't forget the cute little red bling on it's nose, it's a must when working with reindeers.

Ta da! A cute and easy Christmas card that I'm sending out,....yes I do send out holiday cards....sometimes LOL.

Have a beautiful week!

Whooo Wants A Treat?

A new challenge is up over at the 7Kids Challenge Blog. The challenge is "Anything Goes - with an Optional Twist (Ribbon or Lace)".

So "Whooo Wants A Treat?". The sentiment and colored owl image is from Darcie's Heart & Home Owl-O-Ween stamp set. This stamp set goes hand in hand with the Jillibean Soup Owloween 6x6 Paper Pad and Pea Pod Parts.

I used this lollipop treat die with the designer papers and some black cardstock. To decorate the lollipop sticks, I took some black & white striped and polka dotted straws, cut them in half and slid them over the stick.

I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and trimmed it out with a 1 1/2" circle punch. For the "Optional Twist", I used ribbon to tie the treats closed.

This was really fun and I have a lot more suckers to wrap up =)

You Can Do It!

Good morning! It's my turn over at the Avocado Arts Blog and I am sharing projects using the You Can Do It stamp set. How fun is this set?

Here we go!

Card 1: You Are #1
I made this cute baby boy birthday card. I joined the "You Are" and the "#1" images and stamped them on a die cut onsie. I wrapped a brown satin ribbon with a button for the center around the card. I used soft blues and brown for my color choices. I pretty much stuck to this color theme for all three projects.

Card 2: You Can Do It
For my second card, it has a gift card on the front. The card is a school theme using the "You Can Do It" sentiment. Just a little gift card for a bit of motivation for your first day of school. I had a notebook paper embossing folder and adhered it with dimentional pop dots. Using the "Pencil" image from the set, I paper pieced it 3x with patterned paper and inserted them in the gift card pocket to one side. It kind of makes it look like a pocket protector. I wrapped some twine and added a button around the pocket.

Project 3: One Smart Cookie
Lastly, this is not a card but I made a cute little cookie gift box. I just got this small box die and wanted to use it right away. The sentiment "One Smart Cookie" was perfect! I cut out a little banner for the sentiment and placed it on top of a rosette die. A brown satin ribbon is tied around the box for the lid closure. Cutest presentation for one cookie, would you eat it? LOL.

Those are my projects for you and I hope you were inspired to craft today!

June IAR Challenge - Altered Magnetic Board Frame

Hello everyone! It's June! Summertime here we come! For this month's I Am Roses Challenge, you are to Alter a FRAME or include one in your project. I wanted to put up this picture of my scrappy friends that took place at my apartment when I first moved in. I had this magnetic board frame in my stash a while now, given to me by my friend Amy. It was time to take it out for this challenge, here is a picture of the original, it also came with magnets.

Before

I first covered the metal sheet with a layer of dictionary paper and some Tim Holtz Tissue paper over that with mod podge. I painted the wood with white acrylic paint then I started the flower layering process. Honestly, this is the most flowers I've used on a project, but it was so worth it!

Here is a close up of the 3 flowers I used and how I layered them together.

R5-15 White Roses
T1-118 Hot Pink Mini Rose Buds
R2-518 Mini Variegated Soft Pink Rose Flowers

Here is a corner of the frame in which I included this cute bicycle die cut from My Creative Time. Above the bike, you can see that I glued larger roses on top of the magnets that this came with. I also had the perfect size flat back pearls for the other magnets. The picture is not permanently adhered to the board, I can change out the picture whenever I want just by removing the magnets on the frame die cut.

R6-595 1" Mixed Pastel
R3-595 3/4" Mixed Pastel

I loved how this turned out. Please don't mind the heart above my friend's face, it's for privacy reasons =). Thank you for taking the time to view my project. You can watch my video here for a closer look. Come join this fun challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog.

GOOD LUCK!

Cards & a Crop

Happy Friday! I was able to create some cards yesterday with a bunch of my crafty friends. I used Some Odd Girl Stamps for the main images.

I kept these cards very simple and the girls were the main focus of the card. They were colored with my Copics. The balloons were cut from My Creative Time! Stitched Party Dies.

In 2014 I want to make a point to use what's in my stash. I've been using baker's twine in my recent cards and I love it!

The best thing about going to crops, is the FOOD! Deliciousness!!
(Chile Relleno Casserole, Refried Beans, Spanish Rice, Salad & Dessert - not shown)

The worst thing about going to crops, is coming home and having to put away all your supplies that you took. Ugh...gotta do that this morning.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
