FFF - No Cards Allowed!

Happy Friday! For this TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge it's "Anything but a Card". I had a problem with this one, no joke. I've been busting out cards left and right this year, so I was totally stumped! LOL Well this is what I came up with:

I decorated this mason jar mug from the .99 Store. I have several of these to alter and that's what I did. I kept the decorations simple. The image I used is Limited Edition Queen Bean, she was part of the Alice in Wonderland collection. She is colored with my Copics and I glittered her crown, hearts and outfit with Stickles. I also drew a red heart on her face to make her more festive. The large hearts were cut from glitter paper using the Film & Polaroid Die Set. I used the same paper with a small heart punch. The black label wrapped around the jar was cut from the Tim Holtz Styled Labels die. I drew a border with my white gel pen to make the label pop out.

For the goodies in the jar, I wrapped them with black tulle. I painted a skewer stick with black acrylic paint and added some glittered die cut hearts. This treat jar can be used for a Wonderland/Halloween party. So that's my project for you guys today. Head on over to the TGF Blog to check out the other creations from our Designers.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous weekend!

GOOD LUCK!!

July IAR Challenge - Featured Flower

Hey guys, I have another post for you today. Here I am sharing my project that I made for the July Challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog.

Here is the tag I made.

The featured flowers are the new Lilies (LY). Aren't they gorgeous. If you want to win some, head on over to the I Am Roses Challenge Blog for more details on this month's challenge.

I finally gave in and got a Prima Dolls Stamp by Julie Nutting. I also used the coordinating Tag set. On the background of the tag, I sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in the colors Plumeria Pink and Creme Brulee Cream. The image of the girl is colored with my Copics and I paper pieced her entire outfit. One requirement of the challenge is to use vellum, here instead of using designer paper, I used vellum for my doily die. The paper collection I used is from DCWV the Primrose Collection.

I made a cluster of the lilies, added some stamens and used seam binding for the ribbon up top. I had a leaf and mini butterflies punches by Martha Stewart and I used vellum for that also.

At the bottom of the card is another cluster of lilies, stamens and vellum leaves. Underneath it all are some two toned maple leaves. Added some die cuts and pearls to finish off the tag.

This was fun to make and the lilies are to die for! Come join us and enter to win the new Lilies!

GOOD LUCK!!

GVT - Girly Girl

Garden Variety Tuesday time! Hey guys I am hosting this challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog today. The theme I chose is "Girly Girl".

I made this card using the new Baby Anya & Ian stamp set. I stamped the giraffe on designer paper. I colored the spots with my Copics, as well as the heart. I added some Star Dust Stickles on her bum. I stamped the sentiment on some vellum that's embossed in white embossing powder.

I had this banner stamp and embossed it on vellum paper, underneath it I put some text paper. There is also text paper under the circle cut out.

To add some more girlyness to this card, I used some pink/white flowers from I Am Roses and also added some white stamens. Another piece I added from my stash of scraps was this embossed doily stamp image.

I went for a girly, frilly, delicate and sweet look for this challenge =) Come play and enter for a TGF image!

GOOD LUCK!!

Sew Happy Together

I'm so excited to share this mini album with everyone. This is a mini spool album kit given to me by Chandi, you can find the kit here on her YouTube Channel: chandiwalsh. The kit is just a base kit. There are no papers or embellishments in the kit. It comes with the mini album by itself, some die cuts and some tags. You can create absolutely anything. The papers that I used were already in my stash, K&Company Celeste. I had some leftover die cuts from that collection as well. I did stick to the sewing theme and titled the mini "Sew Happy Together: Family & Friends". I was able to include pictures of my family cropping together and just sharing some crafty time together. The others pages were left blank so that I may print out pictures of my crafty friends.

I bound the mini with brown seam binding and attached my own charms using the Tim Holtz swivel clasps. Throughout the mini I used I Am Roses flowers that I sprayed with Desert Moon Cactus Gold from Lindy's Stamp Gang. Some buttons and other floral sprays adorned the pages. Chandi was nice enough to gift me awesome sewing themed buttons as well. I truly loved putting this mini together and I hope you enjoyed it as well.

You can watch my YouTube video of this mini here. Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

My Spellbinders Book

I'm so excited to share this project with you guys. I was inspired by my fellow I Am Roses Design Team members, Arlene & Rina, to make a storage book for my Spellbinders dies. This book measures about 8 1/2" x 11", binded with 2 metal rings. I am slowly building my collection and I needed some kind of storage system. This is what I made. I didn't embellish anywhere else but the front cover. I had just received my I Am Roses haul and I had to use the flowers immediately. The 2" White Flower was misted with my Glitz Spritz Desert Moon Cactus Gold for that beautiful gold shimmer. I put two Pink Toned flowers on each side. Scattered throughout the cover were these sweet White Pink 2 Toned flowers. I curled the stems of these flowers with the end of my skinny paint brush. All these flowers were sitting on top of my favorite leaves, Small Natural Skeleton Leaves and Small Green Leaves. The natural skeleton leaves were stained with my Starburst Dark Chocolate Truffle from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

For a more shabby effect, I painted the edges of the cover with white acrylic paint. My favorite element on the cover is the old dictionary sheet in the background. I specifically chose that page due to the fact that it had the words craft, create, and crinkle printed on it. I could not finish this book without adding some pearl bling flourishes and a chandelier charm.

So this is my project for I Am Roses. I hope that you've enjoyed it. For a more detailed look at the book and the inside, please watch the video here. Thanks for stopping by as always!

Art Journal

This is the art journal that I created during a crop that I attended at The Die Cut Divas studio in San Dimas, CA. This was made using a watercolor paper pad, literally the whole pad =) I used my favorite elements: Prima flowers, glimmer mist, and bling. This was so easy to make anyone can create their own, so give it a try. The crystal floral spray and dove stick pin were from an Etsy store: StudioGarageBand. You can also check out their blog for inspiration.

For a better look at this project you can watch the video at my YouTube Channel: Paperdrama. Thanks for stopping by!

May Mini Page Swap - Fashionista

This is a mini page swap that I joined on Bona's blog: Keep On Scrappin'. The rules were to make a 4x4 mini page using the collection Graphic45 Fashionista. Each person was assigned a specific paper in this collection. I got Debutante. The base of the front & back page had to be one side of the paper. Another rule was to include this "twisted flower" technique. (A video of this technique can be viewed here). Also, on one side there had to be some sort of pocket to provide a journaling spot. So this is what I came up with:

Front Page:

Back Page:

A video of how I constructed this page can be viewed on here. I had a really great time creating this page. I've seen the other ladies' pages in my group and all I can say is "wow". This was a fantastic swap to be a part of. If you ladies have never tried doing a swap before of any kind, try it. It's super fun and you learn so many new techniques from other fellow scrappers. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Card Sketches Notebook

I got inspired by Kristina Werner from her MACM Card Sketch Book here. I downloaded her pdf file for the inside pages and used my Bind-it-All for the chipboard covers. The paper is from Jilibean Soup, alpha stickers are American Crafts and the cherry blossom embellishment stickers are from Jolee. I figured I should keep track of the cards that I make so that it's much easier for me to duplicate in the future. Enjoy!

Fabulous!

This Saturday I was at a 12hr crop at Scrapping Lounge and I got to play a little bit. I created this star chipboard album using my scraps from my previous class. I'm lovin' black sugar paper from Doodlebug, my butterfly die and birds die from Quickutz. I also used some rub-ons from American Crafts and I did a little doodling with my white gel pen. Of course I had to add some bling. I showed this album to my BF and he said it looked kinda Tim Burtonish, lol, thanks sweetie...I think. I think it looks very diva fabulous, hahaha. **This item can be found at my Etsy Shop.**
