C.C. Designs - Autumn

Hi guys, it's Wednesday and it's time for another card using the September C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps Release! Here I'm using Roberto's Rascals - Scarecrow Henry and the Make A Card #9 Autumn Die. He's colored with Copic markers. The little patches are covered with orange flock. Love the word die "autumn", cut from white cs and colored with Copic marker YG67. There's a little banner die that comes in the die set, I flipped it and made a tombstone. The skull is from the Make A Card #8 Halloween Die. I threw in some Autumn Enamel Dots in the tan color. I sprayed Lindy's Stamp Gang in several fall colors on the scalloped die cut for my background.

Lindy's Stamp Gang's Birthday Blog Hop

WELCOME to Lindy's Stamp Gang's Birthday Blog Hop!
We are celebrating Lindy's birthday with an awesome Blog Hop. Our fabulous Designers have created birthday themed projects for you guys. There are birthday presents hidden in the Designers' blogs, so make sure to comment. Here are the LSG goodies you can win:

Here are the details:
Starts: Saturday April 27th (6am PST)
Ends: Satruday May 4th (Midnight PST)

Blog Hop List:

Here is my project for the hop:

I made a confetti filled background card. I used 9 LSG color sprays! I took each spray individually, unscrewed the cap off, then I tapped the tube so that the liquid would drip off. I hope that makes sense LOL. I did this to all the sprays and just repeated the colors til I was satisfied with the results. I love the range of sizes of the droplets.

I stamped the birthday sentiment on a vellum fish tail banner. I added a yellow rhinestone for a pop of bling. I also had this swirly stamp thingy that I used on the card and covered it with some Stickles in Crystal. I kept my brithday card pretty simple but I had a blast making it using all the LSG colors.

So this is the last stop in the blog hop, but if you are coming to my blog for the first time, you might want to start from the beginning at the LSG Blog.

Thank for you for hopping along all the Designers' Blogs. We all hope that you had fun and GOOD LUCK on winning the prizes!! Have a fabulous weekend!

FFF - Clouds

Woohoo it's Friday! Here is today's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog. I'm hosting today and the theme is Clouds. As long as there's clouds in your project, you can enter.

I used the new Alice Bean stamp. This is a Limited Edition, so once they are gone, they are GONE. She's so cute and easy to color. My clouds element on my card were cut from the Mini Clouds w/Die stamp set.

I added some faux stitching on the clouds with a white & black pen. The background I created using Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and just some scrap pieces of paper that I used to create a mask for the diagonal stripes. I was trying to create sun beams =).

The sentiment is from a dollar stamp from Michael's. So there is my card for this FFF. If you crafting this weekend, come on over and play along this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a crafty weekend!

DTT - Sketch

Good morning! Okay how exciting was that new release from The Greeting Farm! I wouldn't be surprised if we were out of stock already lol. Well aside from those new sets, today is Double Take Tuesday over at the TGF Blog

Here is my contribution to this challenge using Awareness Anya.

I wanted her face to be the main focus of the image, so i created a mask for her face and used my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays all over the image. When I peeled off the mask (thank goodness it didn't leak under) I then colored her face with my Copic markers. I loved the effect that it gave. I wanted my background to match so I then used the same color sprays and created my own pattern paper. One particular spray had this beautiful gold shimmer to it that I love. I hope you guys try this technique, it's different but a lot of FUN!

Here is the fabulous sketch for this challenge if you guys want to play along.

I added some I Am Roses flowers and for the leaves, I used the Mini Fleurs w/Die stamp set. This is as close as I get to mix media LOL, I'm a chicken when it comes to making all that mess and mixing stuff!

So there is my card for you today. Supplies listed below and thanks for stopping by!

November IAR Sketch #2 Challenge - "Thankful"

There's a new IAR Sketch Challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. If you want to play along and enter to win some IAR flowers get on over to the blog for all the rules/details. Check out the new sketch above.

Here is my take of the sketch. The picture I used is of myself (left) and my friend Rina (right). This was taken at a crop that I hosted at my place. We had so much fun with our scrappy friends. I kept the layout pretty simple and clean in my opinion. I only used 1 12x12 sheet of paper and a tiny piece to mat the photo.

I hope you guys can join us in this month's challenge. Make sure to read all the requirements on how to enter.

I also wanted to thank everyone for all the sweet and beautiful comments left on my IAR Blog Hop project. Also a huge HELLO! to all my new followers of this blog. THANK YOU THANK YOU, I hope I don't disappoint. There was a secret blog candy hidden in one of the DT's Blogs and unfortunately it wasn't in mine =( Maybe next time. If you commented on all the blogs then you might still have a chance to win, check out the winner here.

GOOD LUCK to you all for this month's IAR Sketch Challenge!

August IAR Color Challenge "Back to School"

There's a new IAR Color Challenge just posted over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. If you want to win some beautiful flowers check it out and create to win.

The theme for this month's challenge is "Back to School". I decided to dress up a paper lunch bag. Fill it up with snacks or some school supplies for your kid. That big gardenia is new to I Am Roses, it measures at 4". I used some two tone yellow roses and added some red roses as well.

The calendar month "august" is embossed on acetate with white embossing powder. I draped some banner border stickers at the fold. The letter "A" is the initial for the receiver of this paper bag. The yellow ruler ribbon was perfect for the school theme.

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see all the submissions created by you guys. GOOD LUCK everyone!!

Winter Wonderland Tag Swap

TGIF! Hi everyone, here is a tag that I made for a "Winter Wonderland" themed swap over on YouTube. I used some KARLAS001 Etsy goodies. I incorporated some of the pearl sprays in her store. I was going for a shabby vintage look. The color palette was kept very neutral. The only pop of color in the tag is the colored snowman and the light blue spray in the background. The pearl sprays looked so delicate, like tiny little snowballs.

I embossed the snowman with white embossing powder and colored it in with my LSG Magicals in Azure Sea Asters. For added shimmer, I sprayed the whole tag with Scintillating Silver. I was able to use mostly what was in my stash on this tag and I didn't have to buy a darn thing LOL.

Now that I'm finished with this swap I can finally put all my Christmas stamps, papers, embellishments away! Time to move on to Valentine's Day themed projects...stay tune! Have a great weekend everybody =)

Don't forget to check out my video on this tag here.

Shabby Holiday Stockings

Is everyone ready for the weekend? I wanted to share this project that is easy to create using some Pink Rose trim and Pearl trims from KARLAS001's Etsy. The backing of these stockings are just basic thick cardstock cut into a stocking shape. I cut off the individual roses on the trim to fill out the shape. Instead of using ribbon as the stocking hanger, I opted to use the pearl trims.

These Mini Crystal Clear Butterflykisses Butterflies added a cute touch. Using other trims to decorate the top and some pearl embellishments for the buttons they completed the look.

This is a holiday project that is easy to create as little handmade gifts. You can also use other colored trims that you already have in your stash.

I used the White Flat Back Pearl Trim for these two stockings.

For this one, I used the Pink Flat Back Pearl Trim to coordinate with this light pink rose trim.
On this stocking, it was initially a cream rose trim but I had dyed it with my Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Cadbury Milk Chocolate. The trim I chose to go with this brown color was the Bronze Pearl Strand Trim.

I truly love how these stockings turned out and I hope my scrappy friends like them. To watch a tutorial on how you can make a similar project like these, you can view my video here. As always thanks for taking the time to stop by. Have a great weekend!

Lindy's It's Fall Y'all Contest!

Like the image says, "It's Fall Y'All". Lindy's Stamp Gang is having a contest on their Facebook page. There are amazing prizes. If you love Lindy's Stamp Gang and you use it on almost all your crafting projects then this contest is easy peasy for you. The contest is going on now and ends October 24, 2011.

Here is my spooky project to hopefully inspire you to create. It's an altered wooden hanging spider. This is one side of the spider. On the outer body, I sprayed it with Starburst VavavaVoom Violet. After that I covered it with glue from a glue stamp pad. I then sprinkled some ultra fine black glitter. I lined the body with white rhinestones and colored them black with my Copic marker. The middle body was embossed with several layers of the Jack o'Lantern two tone embossing powder from the Jolly Jacks Set.

The inner body was sprayed with Starburst Freaky Franken-Lime. This was a very rich and bright lime green color. I then added tiny white rhinestones and colored it again with my black Copic marker....I guess I should buy some black rhinestones =) To finish off this side of the spider, I took some white seam binding and sprayed it with the Starburst Witch's Potion Purple.

On to the other side. I kept the outer body the same as the reverse side. The middle body frame is sprayed with the Starburst Witch's Potion Purple and colored over with the Magicals Witch's Potion Purple for a more deep color and shimmer. The inner body was also kept the same as the reverse side as well.
The last thing I did was add the white seam binding on this side and colored it with the Starburst Hag's Wart Orange.

I love how my spooky spider turned out. For a more detailed look of my project, please watch the video I made here. Thanks for stopping by! Now it's your turn, what will you be making for this contest?

Halloween Treats

Happy Tuesday everyone! I wanted to share with you guys these really easy Halloween treat bags that I created using the JustRite Tiny Halloween Sentiments at Stamper's Dream. I had used these sentiments previously on some Halloween Cards (original post here). These sentiments are versatile and can be used on more than one type of project.

The base of the treat bag is just a small plain black sack that I purchased at my local craft store, Michael's. You can stamp any image in the front with white pigment ink. The images I used are the Trick or Treat Oval Centers & Borders from JustRite.

I took some white seam binding and dyed them with my Starburst Sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang. The treat bags can be filled with candy or even money =). The sentiments are stamped on scrap pieces of paper and I hand cut the ribbon tails. The tags are attached to the seam binding with a May Arts Black Burlap String. So there you have it. I made a video of this tiny project and you can view it here. Thanks for stopping by!
