           Welcome to The Greeting Farm  September 2021 Release Preview Day 2!

Introducing GINGERBREAD XMAS. The holidays are not complete without gingerbread cookies. This stamp set has a variety of gingerbread characters. Here I chose to use the ones that made up this cute family, also a gingerbread house.

These images are stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I fussy cut the images and adhered them to a snowy hillside. The background was inked with Distress Oxide Inks and accented with a white gel pen to create a snowy night sky. The sentiment is from this stamp set as well.

The Greeting Farm May Release Blog Hop

The MAY 2021 RELEASE is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store! Our first stamp set, FURREAL COUPLE, features Anya and Ian with cat accessories. Our next set, BIRTHDAY MERFRIENDS, showcases cute animals with mermaid tails having some birthday fun. Our last set, FIRST PICK, is all about fresh fruit characters who have shown up to make life so sweet.

Here is my card using two of the newly released stamp sets. The older girl is from Furreal Couple and the strawberry girl, sentiment, and strawberries are from First Pick.

This card is a recreation of my card in Preview Day 1. I omitted Ian and included the cute girl. The background is the same, using a brick stencil and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink.

All images are colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. I stamped the sentiment "You're My First Pick" directly on the stenciled background. Lastly to finish the card, I added a few red enamel dots.

November IAR Sketch #2 Challenge - "Thankful"

There's a new IAR Sketch Challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. If you want to play along and enter to win some IAR flowers get on over to the blog for all the rules/details. Check out the new sketch above.

Here is my take of the sketch. The picture I used is of myself (left) and my friend Rina (right). This was taken at a crop that I hosted at my place. We had so much fun with our scrappy friends. I kept the layout pretty simple and clean in my opinion. I only used 1 12x12 sheet of paper and a tiny piece to mat the photo.

Cookbookin` Nov. Sketch Challenge

This is my layout for the Nov. Cookbookin' Sketch Challenge, "Elvis Lives". This paper was perfect for this photo. Our local scrapbook store had a retro 50's 12hr crop and this was one of the participants. Good times =) The paper collection used is Mom's Diner. Cookbookin` Oct. Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone, here is the October Sketch for the Cookbookin` Blog. All the papers are from the Sugar & Spice Collection:

This was Christmas 2009 spent in the Philippines with my mom's side of the family. We try to go there once a year and it's usually during the holidays. I love my cousins. Instead of using the papers/sketch for a food related topic, I decided to make it about my family. The "recipe" portion on the sketch was moved to accommodate the horizontal recipe cards in the collection.

I layered some prima flowers and added a metal brad in the center. The glittered flourishes are from Making Memories. Head on over to the blog and give this sketch a try. You'll have a whole month to complete it and the prize is the Harvest Kitchen Kit (this is an idea of what you will get):

Sitting Pretty

Here's a layout I completed using Basic Grey "Porcelain" Collection. I thought that this paper was funky enough for the 70's. This is a picture of my mom in 1973, I wasn't born yet...you can tell she still has a smile on her face, lol! If she only knew what was to come...just kidding, I'm a good girl. The photo is a little fuzzy, I scanned the original and printed it out. I love to create my own embellishments and I did that using the scraps I had leftover to make my flowers. I used my QK Silhouette to cut that vine design.

Croppin' Away

This past Saturday I was at a crop event hosted by The Scrappin' Table. It began at 10am - 12am....I know!! The store was awesome and I just loved all their products that they carried. But I was a very good girl and I stuck it out and used what I had in my scrap arsenal, I couldn't believe it. I will definitely be back to get a few things I had my eyes on...lol. I met some new girls and they were hilarious, a great bunch to scrap with. We even walked to the neighboring Mexican restaurant and had a margarita...good times good times.

The ladies had some fun using the cupcakes as props, introducing "The Desperate Scrapwives".


We weren't all foolin' around, I actually completed some layouts, 4 to be exact. I can't remember the last time I did a layout that had nothing to do with a display for my LSS or for a class. I worked on my Vegas pics and here are the finished layouts:




On the second page I didn't have a coordinating page for the first layout, so I decided to try to make my own. The original page is from a 12x12 Prima paper stack. I had a stamp set from Fancy Pants that had a similar flourish pattern. I stamped several images around the perimeter of the page and chalked it with some red tones. Not exactly a perfect match, but it will do. The 3rd & 4th layouts I completed were my faves.




The paper again came from my 12x12 Prima stack, I used some lace, ribbon from Making Memories, MME border stickers, Heidi Swapp bling (I had to put a "tiara" on my head), and some Prima & Bazzill flowers. I wanted to incorporate most of the pictures I printed out so I just haphazardly laid them on the page and glued it down. I'm really liking it, actually I LOVE it! Oh and I hand pierced the paper with my Heidi Swapp Paper Piercer using the SU! Paper Piercing Kit. Ok, this was a very long post...well I was at that crop for nearly 14 hours!! Phewww!

Finished Layout

Oh my gosh, I actually finished a layout. I've been doing scrap projects here and there but I haven't done a page layout in months. I'm soo proud of myself (pat on the back). Of course the paper line I used was Graphic 45. My new obsession is lace!! I luv it.

Rough Draft Sketch

Here's a great new sketch blog that i found www.roughdraft.blogspot.com. They're new and they're putting out a call for a DT, so here's my take on their sketch. It's an 80's Crop that i had with friends and family. We went all out and had a blast.
