Be Strong Party Favors & Thank You Card

Hi and Happy Wednesday! It's the the last day of the month and I have two Stamper's Dream projects to share. I had made a card last week (blog post here) using the Be Strong stamp set and I wanted to show some other quick projects that can be created using other images in the set. There are so many to choose from but here is what I came up with.

For my first project I decided to make some favor boxes. These are perfect for those charity events/parties/crops that will be held in October for Cancer Awareness Month. For the base of my project I used a plain favor box that I found in the wedding section of my local craft store. The papers that I chose to use were from MME the Happy Go Lucky paper pad. I used several sentiments included in the stamp set. The heart tag die from JustRites Charms Custom Dies were a perfect fit. The Spun Sugar Distress Ink was used lightly around the stamped sentiments to make them pop out more. You can watch a video on how I put these favor boxes together here.

For my second project, I made these 3x3 Thank You cards. I used the same paper collection and cut it down to size. In the Be strong stamp set, I used the large ribbon image and stamped it on white cardstock and then I cut it out. I stamped the individual words "Friends" and "Strength" at the tail ends of the ribbon. Then I lightly inked the ribbon with the Spun Sugar and popped the ribbon up with dimensional pop dots. Really simple and fast projects that are easy to replicate.

I hope I was able to show you how you can make a stamp set stretch out into multiple projects. Thanks for stopping by!

You're An Angel

Hello Thursday! Hi guys, it's time for an I Am Roses project. I've made another Christmas card, woo hoo, I'm ahead by two cards this season LOL. I had a leftover image/embellishment from a swap I did with my friend Rina, which made my whole card process go much faster. You can see my original project in this post. I layered several design papers and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz Distressing Tool (thanks Jil - Stampyra on YouTube).

All the I Am Roses flowers that I used were all sprayed with my Lindy's Stamp Gang in Scintillating Silver. It just made the flowers pop. I used that beautiful 2" Red Rose in the left bottom corner. Two 1/2" White Paper Roses flanked both the bottom and top red roses. The flower I used on the top right hand corner is a 1" Red Paper Rose. The leaves that I used were the Small Green Leaves and I sprayed them with my Lindy's Stamp Gang spray in Gator Gumbo Olive.

You can watch a step by step video of me putting this card together here. Thanks again for taking the time to look at my project. Have a wonderful evening!

You Are In My Prayers

Happy Wednesday! It's 6 o'clock in the evening and it is scorching hot in Southern California right now. Nevertheless, I have a card share for you guys today =)

JustRite Stampers came out with these two fabulous stamp sets that are available at Stamper's Dream. The main image on the front of the card is from the Be Strong stamp set. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my Copics. I then added some glitter to the ribbon to make it pop. The image is framed with a Spellbinders Small Classic Ovals in black cardstock.

The pink flower accents were sprayed with my Lindy's Stamp Gang in Scintillating Silver. I added some white porcelain flowers to the floral mix. I cut a piece of black/white polka dot glitter paper with my Sizzix Square Scallop die. On the main pink paper I stamped the image of the mini ribbon all over as an added detail to the background. I wrapped the card with a 1/2" black satin ribbon (my favorite type) and tied a bow in the front.

For the inside sentiment, I used the other stamp set Strength & Courage from JustRite. The image of the tiny ribbon from is from the Be Strong set. I added more of the pink paper and cut the white cardstock with my Sizzix die.

So that is my card for you guys today. I hope it has inspired you. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and these stamp sets would be perfect for those projects to come. Thanks for stopping by!

Sew Sweet

It's late and I wanted to share this "Sew Sweet" card I made today for Karlas001's Etsy store. I had leftover papers from a mini that I just completed and I wanted to use them up to make a card. I layered scrap pieces of paper that were lightly edged with some Distress Ink in Walnut Stain. I used some aplha letter stamps to make the "sew" banner. I stamped the word "sweet" on a piece of paper and inserted it under the button.

The sewing machine, button and dress form die cuts were also leftovers. I added some lush Light Brown Pleated Satin Trim across the card. Over that satin trim I laid some Beige Medium Flower Trim. I had cut individual flower pieces and placed them on the "sew" banner as well. On the dress form, I had used a portion of the Beige Mini Flower Trim and placed it as a belt across the waist.

To see a close up this card and the beautiful trims that I used, you can watch the video here. Thanks for stopping by =)

Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday! Nope it's not December...yet =) I wanted to play with these poinsettia flowers from I Am Roses today. So I made it into a wreath center stage on my card. The paper collection I used is Calisto Christmas from Anna Griffin. These were purchased last year and I wanted to use what's in my stash. The "Merry Christmas" banner on top is Brenda Walton Evergreen Border Stickers from K & Company.

All the flowers were sprayed with my favorite Lindy's Stamp Gang spray: Desert Moon Cactus Gold. I wanted to add some gold shimmer. I completed the wreath with a star stick pin, a wood branch heart, white seam binding, and a mini red rose. Underneath the bow are layered leaves in a pale green and a basic green.

I used 2 different sizes of roses, a .25" in red and a .50" inch in white. To view my step by step process in the creation of this card, please watch the video here. Thanks for stopping by, have a great evening.

Sew Happy Together

I'm so excited to share this mini album with everyone. This is a mini spool album kit given to me by Chandi, you can find the kit here on her YouTube Channel: chandiwalsh. The kit is just a base kit. There are no papers or embellishments in the kit. It comes with the mini album by itself, some die cuts and some tags. You can create absolutely anything. The papers that I used were already in my stash, K&Company Celeste. I had some leftover die cuts from that collection as well. I did stick to the sewing theme and titled the mini "Sew Happy Together: Family & Friends". I was able to include pictures of my family cropping together and just sharing some crafty time together. The others pages were left blank so that I may print out pictures of my crafty friends.

I bound the mini with brown seam binding and attached my own charms using the Tim Holtz swivel clasps. Throughout the mini I used I Am Roses flowers that I sprayed with Desert Moon Cactus Gold from Lindy's Stamp Gang. Some buttons and other floral sprays adorned the pages. Chandi was nice enough to gift me awesome sewing themed buttons as well. I truly loved putting this mini together and I hope you enjoyed it as well.

You can watch my YouTube video of this mini here. Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Life Is Better With Friends

I hope everyone is ending their Thursday on a good note. Here is a card I created for Stamper's Dream. The paper collection is For The Record Echo Park. All the edges of the design papers were distressed with Black Soot from Ranger. I kept this card pretty simple, not too many flowers or any bling at all. The bird cage image is from JustRite's Spread Your Wings stamp set. This set comes with 15 stamps total, with a variety of bird cages. The pair of birds is a separate image in the set.

I truly believe that my friends have made life better =) The sentiment is stamped on white cardstock and on a hand cut banner. The two ends are adorned with these itty bitty small white roses from I Am Roses. I used small ovals and a lattice die from Spellbinders to layer the image on the card. A small strip of designer paper was punched with a scallop border punch.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day tomorrow =)

Just Because

It's time for another Stamper's Dream project! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start. Here is a "Just Because" card that I made using My Mind's Eye Happy Go Lucky paper collection. The colors are so vibrant and happy =)

The Anya image I used was already colored from a previous Copic tutorial video, found here. All the details used on that image will be shown in that video. To add different levels of dimension, I used really thick pop dots to layer the pattern paper and stamped image. The sentiment "Just Because" came from another stamp set that was embossed with white embossing powder on vellum.
Here is a different angle of the card. I added some luscious trim and flowers from my stash to complete the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Enter If You Dare

Happy hot Thursday! Welcome August =) Let's get straight to my Stamper's Dream project. Halloween is creeping up on us just around the corner. I made this elegant Halloween card using the JustRite Trick or Treat Borders and Centers Oval. This stamp set comes with four images and I chose this haunted house. The set also comes with four oval borders and I decided on the "wrought iron fence" like pattern. I used my small ovals from Spellbinders to cut and frame the image. All the papers were edged with Black Soot Distress Ink.

The paper that I actually chose to use is not specifically for Halloween, it is the Crate Paper Portrait Collection. I loved the elegant stripes and damask patterns. To add a pop of color, I used this flower bunch that my friend Patti gave me.
The sentiment is from JustRite Tiny Halloween Sentiments. I matted it with black cardstock and popped it up using dimensional foam pop dots. A simple black satin ribbon tied in a bow was used in the front of the card. A strip of the striped paper was added in the inside of the card.

Who ever said Halloween was always suppose to be scary? Why not make it elegant? I did LOL. As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!
