WOW! Embossing Powder & Kat Scrappiness Blog Hop

WELCOME to the WOW! Embossing Powder & Kat Scrappiness Blog Hop!

Here is my project for you today:

Welcome to the WOW! Embossing Powder & Kat Scrappiness Blog Hop! We have TWO days of inspiration for you using Kat Scrappiness Stamps, Dies, and Embellishments and WOW! Embossing Powders. And of course there are amazing PRIZES!

WOW! Embossing Powders is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to either their UK or USA Store and Kat Scrappiness is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to their store. All you need to do to win is COMMENT. The more blogs you comment on the more chances you have to win! The winners will be chosen at RANDOM from ANY of the blogs on the two day hop.

Now on to my card. I used the WOW! Trio Cosmic 'Seth Apter' set to add texture on my galaxy background. These powders provide so much dimension to an otherwise flat surface.
I lay down the colors first on the cardstock. I used Distress Oxide Inks because they are not completely dry when applied and it allows the embossing powder to adhere to the surface. Next, one by one I sprinkle the embossing powders to certain spots on the surface. I tap off the excess and brush off any powders that I don't want. Lastly, I apply my heat gun and let the magic happen.

These cute images and sentiment are from KS Koala-Ty Time Stamp Set. The mother/baby and heart are both colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is stamped on black cardstock and embossed with WOW! EP - Opaque Bright White

To create the wavy stitching detail on the white cardstock, I used the KS Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle Dies. Then I used the KS Embossed Edge Circle Dies to cut the galaxy background and circle window. The white cardstock is adhered with foam dimensional tape, as well as the Koala and heart image. The circle galaxy is inlaid thru the window opening. To finish off the card, I wanted more sparkle, so I placed KS Silver Jewels on my background and on the bottom right of the card.

THANK YOU for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card. Have a fabulous hop!

This is my first project using the images and dies. Here I created this card using three out of the four images included in this kit. How adorable is the doggie?! The Retro TV dies and images are layered on top of a Large Stitched Tags Die cut.

.
The illusion of a carpet was created using Pierced Scalloped Circles and Stitched Nesting Circles dies. The sentiment chosen for this card was "for my chair-ished friend". Situated on the bottom of the card are a few of the popcorn die cuts. All images are colored with Copic markers, as well as some of the die cuts.

For my second project, I created this shaker card. I tried to mimic a popcorn machine as the shaker portion of the card by using the Scalloped Rectangles Die and the Large Stitched Tags Die (used in the inside for the stitched details).

The awning used multiple Popcorn Dies lined up together. I also adhered them together to create a larger size popcorn container. The sentiment "movie night" is on a die cut from the Horizontal Pocket Die set. I added some Double Stitched Stars Die cuts in the background. For added detail, inside the shaker window, I placed some popcorn die cuts on foam adhesive. Lastly, gold sequin and jewels accent the card. All the images are colored with Copic markers. On both projects, all the popcorn toppers and individual kernel die cuts were inked with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink.

Some Odd Girl - Hipster Mae Digi Set

Happy Friday! This card is for Some Odd Girl  using Hipster Mae Digi Set.

Hipster Mae used to be a clear stamp set, now she's available in digital form. I love how I re-sized the coffee cup to be the same height as Mae. I made the heart into a shaker window using an exacto blade to cut the shape out. I paired these images up with Kat Scrappiness coffee themed products. All images are colored with Copic markers and adhered to the card with dimensional foam adhesive tape.

Kat Scrappiness - Christmas Gnomes and more Slimline Dies!

Hi everyone! Here is a card share using the newest Christmas Gnomes Stamp Set and Slimline Dies from Kat Scrappiness.

This card is full of Kat Scrappiness goodness. I used two types of shaker bits: Christmas Confetti Sequin and White Snowflake Sprinkles. The shaker frame is created by layering two dies: Double Stitched Slimline Dies and Scalloped Stitched Nesting Slimline Dies. The inside scene was created using the Hills Slimline Dies and the Crafters Essentials WINTER Die Set. Two gnomes are adhered on the outside of the frame and one gnome is inside. Lastly, the star die cuts are from the Crafters Essentials 1 Die Set.

The images were all colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

Here is a Start-to-Finish video of my card:

The Greeting Farm - Poolside

Hi everyone, it's Jo, today's my last project as Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm. This digital scene was created using Poolside Digi Set.

I could spend hours playing around with all the elements included in this set. I chose to create a pool scene with this cutie just "Chillin'" getting her tan on. The pool is used as the foundation and then I layered up the palm leaves, flowers, umbrella, bushes, and the diving board around the perimeter of the card.

Lastly, I paired up this girl image with your standard floatie. This was the first attempt to draw/color pool water. I didn't practice, I just went all in and I'm happy with the results. I added some polka dots to the umbrella and highlights to the pool water with Copic Opaque White Paint. The "Chillin'" sentiment was some text I added on the diving board when I was putting this all together in my Silhouette machine to edit and create this scene.

The Greeting Farm - Bakery Cafe

Hi everyone, it's Jo, today's project is for The Greeting Farm. Here is another digital scene that I put together using several of the previously released digital sets.

Once again I combined several digi sets and the end result was this bakery scene. Let's start from left to right. The boy is from "Hello From Home" and the chair, book case, as well as the accessories are from "Build A Living Room". The food on the side table is from "Bakery Cafe".

The middle girl with the cashier register, milk in hand are from "Grocer B". The to-go coffee, the chalkboard with cupcake are from "Bakery Cafe". I added the text (bakery) myself. Both the girl and boy are wearing face masks and those are from the "Free Face Masks" set.

Lastly, the other girl is from "Movie Night". The brown paper bag that she is holding is from "SUV Trunk". The display, baked goods and picture frame are all from "Bakery Cafe". I added some red and gold stickles to some of the baked goods for sparkle. All the images are colored with Copic markers.

Feeling Slothy, Need Coffee

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. Did someone say Coffee???
Here is my card using the newest Coffee Time Background Die from Kat Scrappiness.
