IAR 2018 Holiday Blog Hop

WELCOME! to the I Am Roses 2018 Holiday Blog Hop

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the hop so far. Today I made Holiday Name Place Cards.

These are very easy to make. I cut black cardstock at 5" x 5 1/4", score at 2 5/8" on the 5 1/4" side. I used a white gel pen to doodle the border and write the "name".

I used a wired leaf garland some jute rope to create the mini wreathes. I used a variety of red IAR flowers and some small daisy leaves. I adhered everything with hot glue.

You can view a video of me creating one of these place cards over on my YouTube Channel: Paperdrama

I Put A Spell On You

Hello, it's me again. Halloween is just around the corner and I decided to make this card. All images were colored with Copic markers. The main images are from Squad Ghouls (Sweet Stamp Shop), as well as Dragon and Happy Accidents (Sweet Art Society October Art Box). The background was created with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. I made a previous card from this stamp set here.

This time around, I only used one witch from the trio, the cauldron and the spell book.

Happy Accidents

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted but here I am sharing this shaker card. The images are from a stamp set called Happy Accidents and it is from my Sweet Art Society subscription box. Every month you will receive an exclusive stamp set that will not be available anywhere else. Besides the stamp set, you will be sent a high quality sample of an art medium to try out. This particular stamp set is from the October sub box.

This "Bob Ross" inspired set is fabulous. How many of you grew up with "Happy Trees"? The images are colored with Copic markers. I tried to recreate the canvas scene. Of course I had to go the shaker card route. I can't help it, gotta use those sequins. How perfect is it that I actually had tree sequins?

IAR Easter Bunny Wreath

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an Easter bunny wreath that I created using I Am Roses flowers. I really love how this turned out. I love using the gardenia petals as a filler when covering up an item. I had this empty bunny wood wreath and covered the whole thing with the petals.

Peeking through the bunny ears is a soft pink rosette trim. The bow is a fabric strip that I had from years ago.

The focal flowers on the wreath are large gardenia flowers that measure approximately 4". Flanking those flowers, I used a soft pink short spray and added some fern leaves.

For a closer look of the wreath, I created a video over on my YouTube Channel: Paperdrama

March IAR Challenge

Hello again! Today a new challenge is up at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog

Today's project is an Easter card I created for a card swap with some of my crafty friends. The image is from Some Odd Girl Stamps - Bunny Girl Gwen. I colored her with Copic markers and used Star Dust Stickles for sparkle. On her skirt for polka dots, I used a white gel pen. I framed the image with a large stitched oval die and a large scallop oval die from C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps. The sentiment "Happy Easter" is from My Creative Time - To A Cute Little Chickie.

The center flower is a White R43. I flanked it with an Orange S3 Cherry Blossom and a Peach R6 Rose. My favorite small white flowers S10 finish the arrangement. Underneath the sentiment is a Peach S10.

So there is my card for this month's IAR Challenge. Hope you liked it. Thanks for stopping by and come join our challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog for amazing prizes.

February IAR Challenge

Happy Thursday! It's been a while since I posted on my blog. I've been on a "mommy hiatus" for the past two years, enjoying my little boy. I'm excited to start crafting again! Today a new challenge is up at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog
Here is a keepsake box that I created. As a mommy busy trying to raise a little human being, sometimes you don't have time to scrapbook all the pictures you take. So I decided to create this little keepsake photo box. I will print out one picture of every month for the first year of his life and put it in here. It's small and won't take up too much time to complete.
I used mainly cream and white flowers, with a pop of red. The paper I used is Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane and I distressed the edges. The photo is the ultrasound picture that I used to announce my pregnancy. The frame I used is from Tattered Angels. The photo box is finished off with some lace, a clock wood veneer and a little word piece.
