DTT - Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! This Double-Take Tuesday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog is a photo inspiration pic.

Here is my interpretation of that into a card:

I used Valentine Anya Digi from TGF, she's not just for Valentine's Day. The image is colored with my Copic markers and I tried to make her heart look like Earth =) It may not be geographically correct but you can tell that its planet Earth...right? LOL I then covered the heart with Glossy Accents.

This was my first attempt to color a darker skin on my images. I don't have a big selection of Copic markers, so I made due with the colors that I have. I still need practice but it's a start. I cut the flowers out of kraft cs and stamped the images using the coordinating stamps in the Mini Fleurs w/Die Set. I had the perfect sentiment in my stash that said "Earth Day", sweet!

So that was my simple easy Earth Day card for you guys. Please come and join us over at TGF Blog. Come play and enter to win!

GOOD LUCK!!

DTT - Sketch

Happy Double-Take Tuesday! Did you win last DTT Challenge? Go to The Greeting Farm Blog and find out. Today is a sketch challenge provided by the talented DT gal Suzanne. On April 5th over at the TGF website, for a limited time some retired stamps were up for grabs and I was able to get Lolli Anya. Isn't she so cute! I know that some of you were able to get her because she sold out fast. I wanted to create a card using her.

She's colored with my Copic markers and glittered up with Stickles glitter glue. I was able to incorporate the Delicate Words Die "Enjoy" (April Release) and the Mini Fleurs w/Die (March Release).

Here is the sketch that I worked with:

I used some bright and festive paper from American Crafts. I figure this card can be used for a birthday gift.
So if you plan on creating something using this sketch, please join us on this DTT's challenge.

GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Pink/Yellow/Turquoise

Hey Tuesday! It's a Double-Take Tuesday color challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog.

Pink, Yellow and Turquoise

Here's my card using this color scheme. The image used is Queen Bean. She's colored with my Copics and jazzed up with Stickles for some added sparkle.

The sentiment "Smile" is from the Delicate Words Die, layered over vellum that is embossed with some polka dots. I added some faux stitching with a turquoise Sharpie marker inside of the white circle.

This color combo was fun, can't wait to see what you guys come up with for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by and GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Sketch

Happy Double-Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm Blog!
 It's a sketch today.

Here's my card using the NEW Limited Edition Alice Bean.

Cuteness! I went for the classic Alice in Wonderland outfit  I had to double check what color her bow was. I first colored it blue but then I Googled an image and it was black lol. So i just colored the bow black separately and paper pieced it over the blue bow. That works for me!

I stamped the vellum paper with clock images and embossed it in white embossing powder. The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz stamp set. I included an image of a tea cup and tied a black satin ribbon at the top to mimic Alice's bow.

Oh and I added Stickles to her apron. Pretty simple card. Easy sketch, come and play and enter to win this fab stamp over at the TGF Blog.

GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Flowers

Hi guys! I had so much fun making this card for the Double-Take Tuesday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog. I used the new Digi Good Luck Anya. Isn't she adorable with ther top hat.

This was my first attempt to make a rainbow using my Copic markers. I used the broad tip end, YES there's another end to the marker LOL. I picked out the colors that I wanted to use, butted the marker up against a ruler to make it straight, then just ran the marker down the ruler to apply the color. It came out pretty darn cool.

Oh I forgot to mention the challenge for this DTT was to incorporate flowers. I picked matching rainbow colors for the flowers and placed them around the sentiment "Smile Everyday" from the set Mini Fleurs w/Die.

The image is colored with my Copic markers and I added a pop of sparkle with my Stickles in Crystal. Hope you guys take the time to play along with us in this challenge. GOOD LUCK!!! Have a happy Tuesday!

DTT - Aqua & Chevron

Today's Double-Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm Blog is a photo inspiration challenge. How beautiful is this decor. Chevron is so in right now. I had fun incorporating it on my card. I love the color combo also.

This cutie is CC Monday Morning. I loved giving her smokey eyes hehehe. I glittered up her hair clip and her skull. Her sweater dress is paper pieced with some polka dot dp.

I have a Copic coloring video of her here. Hope you guys play along with this challenge. Have a happy Tuesday!

DTT - Blue & Brown

It's Tuesday and this March we have new stamps to play with. If you haven't seen the new March Release, check it out over at The Greeting Farm. This DTT's challenge is Blue & Brown and I am using the new Anya Blooms stamp set.

She is wearing the cutest dress and boots. I colored her with my Copic markers and I recreated her daisies with my I Am Roses Daisy flower that I sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Bachelor Button Blue Starburst Spray. I think it is a perfect match.

I added some Yellow Stickles to the center of the flowers and also on the paper flower. This stamp set comes with two sentiments. She's also quite a big stamp measuring about 4.5". Whoa nelly! So my card base measures 5.5" x 5.5". She would also fit on a regular A2 size card.

As always I hope that you guys give this challenge a try and enter for a chance to win a TGF image. Come and play with us! Thanks for stopping by and I have a great week!

GOOD LUCK!!

DTT - Sketch

Good morning! Okay how exciting was that new release from The Greeting Farm! I wouldn't be surprised if we were out of stock already lol. Well aside from those new sets, today is Double Take Tuesday over at the TGF Blog

Here is my contribution to this challenge using Awareness Anya.

I wanted her face to be the main focus of the image, so i created a mask for her face and used my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays all over the image. When I peeled off the mask (thank goodness it didn't leak under) I then colored her face with my Copic markers. I loved the effect that it gave. I wanted my background to match so I then used the same color sprays and created my own pattern paper. One particular spray had this beautiful gold shimmer to it that I love. I hope you guys try this technique, it's different but a lot of FUN!

Here is the fabulous sketch for this challenge if you guys want to play along.

I added some I Am Roses flowers and for the leaves, I used the Mini Fleurs w/Die stamp set. This is as close as I get to mix media LOL, I'm a chicken when it comes to making all that mess and mixing stuff!

So there is my card for you today. Supplies listed below and thanks for stopping by!

DTT - Sketch

Good morning! This week is going to be jammed packed with projects so stay tuned. Today is Double-Take Tuesday at The Greeting Farm. Come and play along this week, the challenge is this sketch designed by fellow designer Jodi.

The sketch is awesome. Here is my card using Sitting Wonderful. The paper I used is from Authentique - Uncommon. Love the grays and pinks in this paper pad. I paper pieced the couch on some striped pattern paper and colored her with my Copic markers.

I added some lace trim and fussy cut some roses out of the pattern paper. On top of the roses, I added some Fruit Punch Stickles. The "hello" sentiment on the bottom corner are from some tiny alpha stickers I had on hand.

Check out the other creations from the other designers at the TGF Blog. Play along with us for your chance to win a free image. GOOD LUCK!! Come back tomorrow for another project!

DTT - Pink/White/Blue

Hello hello! It's Tuesday and you know what that means, it's Double-Take Tuesdays over at The Greeting Farm. Head on over there for more details.

Today is a color challenge of pink, white and blue. The card I made is using Awareness Anya. I took a break in making Valentine's Day cards.

I busted out some old MME glitter paper ( I need to use my paper stash!). I didn't want to use a dark blue color so I chose papers that were more of a pastel, shabby tone. I used this beautiful pink rosette/pearl trim and this blue lace trim from my stash.

She of course is colored with my Copic markers and I covered her ribbon with some Stickles to make it pop. Okay that's my card for you and I hope that you liked it. Please come and join in on this week's DTT.

GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Purple & Green

Good morning! Head on over to The Greeting Farm for today's Double-Take Tuesday. Rachel is our host for this Purple & Green color challenge.

Here's my card using Sitting Wonderful from TGF's January Release.

I played around with my stash of I Am Roses flowers and just loved the purples and greens. I took apart a white floral spray and added the large green rose in the center and added some purple roses as accents.

Instead of paper piecing the couch, I decided to color it with my Copic markers and stamp a tiny flower image for the pattern. The image and the flowers are layered over a corrugated cardboard piece and a doily.

This is a fabulous color combo to play with. Make sure to check out the TGF blog for all the details for this challenge. Thanks for taking the time to stop over here. GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Sketch

It's time for a new Double-Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. Today's challenge is a fabulous sketch from the talented Suzanne.

Here is the card that I created using the new Lovey Bean.

I colored her with my Copics and made her hair ultra shiny. She's like a chubby fairy, adorbs! I used black cardstock as the base of my card and scraps that I had laying around. I tried mimicking the flowers in her hair with the flower embellishment on the card....sort of =).

Using some Stickles Stardust, I covered her skirt, wings and the bubbles around her. For the sentiment, I just decided to add to the one already in the image, to kind of finish it off. So there is my card. If you haven't ever played along the DTT challenges you should try it. You never know, you could just win. GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Blue & Yellow

Good morning! It's my first time hosting Double-Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm Blog. I have a Blue & Yellow color challenge for you all today. I have been having so much fun with all the January Releases. So here is my card that I made using Awareness Anya.

I paper pieced her outfit and colored her with my Copic markers. I wanted the yellow ribbon to pop so I covered it with Yellow Stickles. The yellow ribbon is commonly known to represent "Support Your Troops" so I used the sentiment "Thanks" from the My Guy Ian stamp set. (A chart of all the ribbon colors and what they mean can be found here) This stamp is so versatile and can be used for many occasions.

For the embellishments, I added some flat back pearls and I Am Roses flowers in yellow & cream. A doily and some lace trim were layered underneath the image.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping by! GOOD LUCK!
