KARLAS001 Etsy DT Swap

The Design Team of KARLAS001 Etsy decided to do an internal swap and these are the three projects that I created for Bona (Keep On Scrappin). The only restrictions were to create three handmade projects and to use items from Karla's Etsy store.

Project #1 was a Burlap Gift Bag. I basically decorated the bag. I layered some lace and floral pearl trim on the front and back. A heart shape was cut out of the brown rosette trim. I cut a banner from vellum and stamped "friends" with white embossing powder. The floral spray is from I Am Roses. And the last embellishments I added was a button that I ran some twine through and a small crystal flower.

Project #2 was a Keepsake Jar (an altered fruit preserves jar). Many items were used on this jar. Lots of layering of lace trims on the lid. Several embellishments were used. The best way to know how this jar was created is to watch the video (link below).

Project #3, my favorite, was a Camera Box. This was totally a scraplifted project. My inspiration was from Maria (lollyrot-scrapbooking). I fell in love with the camera that she made and I just had to make one. So here it is. I wanted to give it a shabby chic look. The paper I used is DCWV Fabric Adhesive Paper. I gathered up all my pearl embellishments/buttons and went to town. Maria had initially created a flap for the back closure. I decided to make a box instead and created a mini diorama inside. Winter Wonderland Tag Swap

TGIF! Hi everyone, here is a tag that I made for a "Winter Wonderland" themed swap over on YouTube. I used some KARLAS001 Etsy goodies. I incorporated some of the pearl sprays in her store. I was going for a shabby vintage look. The color palette was kept very neutral. The only pop of color in the tag is the colored snowman and the light blue spray in the background. The pearl sprays looked so delicate, like tiny little snowballs.

I embossed the snowman with white embossing powder and colored it in with my LSG Magicals in Azure Sea Asters. For added shimmer, I sprayed the whole tag with Scintillating Silver. I was able to use mostly what was in my stash on this tag and I didn't have to buy a darn thing LOL.

Now that I'm finished with this swap I can finally put all my Christmas stamps, papers, embellishments away! Time to move on to Valentine's Day themed projects...stay tune! Have a great weekend everybody =)

Altered Cigar Box

I made this box for a swap that I joined on Facebook, hosted by Jade (JadedStudios on YouTube). I hade so much fun creating this for my partner. The beautiful paper that I used was K & Company Celeste Designer Paper. The theme for this swap was shabby chic. I also made a coordinating card.

Valentine's Mini Album Swap

A fellow YouTuber Danielle (msdaniellerenee2) and I agreed to do a mini album swap. This is what I created for her. I used the dollar chipboard books that can be found at your local Michael's store. The paper is K&Company Valentine Sweetheart.
I've done kit swaps but not actual completed mini album swaps. I had fun incorporating all these yummy papers into this 6x6 mini.

Paper Rosette Embellishment

Here is another handmade embellishment for my mini love page swap. I created this using my paper rosette technique, seen here.


I love how this turned out. For the center I used this bead panel that I purchased from Michael's, from The Bead Gallery. It adds a bit of glam to the rosette. ATC - I break for coffee!

These little artist trading cards are addicting! I made another ATC card for my swap today and the theme is, you guessed it COFFEE! I have an array of coffee themed stamps and it was about time I used them. I love whipped cream and I had to add it to my drink. I used Liquid Applique` in white. That cute coffee cup charm went perfect with my card. The charm was purchased on eBay, seller: findingscrown.

ATC Swap

I'm participating in my first ATC swap at my local stamp store: Stamp Your Heart Out. I got inspired by my friend Sandra over at her blog. She made the cutest cupcake themed ATC. So I decided to do a shabby chic birthday. I went with an outdoor birthday party theme. The ATC was made all from scraps! There is some logic behind all the hoarding of paper scraps =)....they're for ATC cards!

May Mini Page Swap - Fashionista

This is a mini page swap that I joined on Bona's blog: Keep On Scrappin'. The rules were to make a 4x4 mini page using the collection Graphic45 Fashionista. Each person was assigned a specific paper in this collection. I got Debutante. The base of the front & back page had to be one side of the paper. Another rule was to include this "twisted flower" technique. (A video of this technique can be viewed here). Also, on one side there had to be some sort of pocket to provide a journaling spot. So this is what I came up with:
