Kat Scrappiness - September Release Day 1

Happy September! Today I am featuring some products from the Kat Scrappiness September Release Day 1.

Today's release includes a variety of Sprinkles and A2 Acetate Sheets.

I created a cute shaker card using the Newton's Nook - Newton's Donut stamp set. All the images are colored with Copic markers. I went with an orange donut flavor theme to coordinate with the Orange Slices Sprinkles. Included inside the shaker are clear confetti sequins and brown microbeads.

Some Odd Girl - Knitting Kaylee

Hi everyone, today's card features Knitting Kaylee and assorted hats in Hats and Gloves from Some Odd Girl Stamps.

All images are colored with Copics. I chose two main colors (purple/fuschia) to use on the card. She sits atop a an assortment of hats that I digitally compiled together. I adhered her with dimensional foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Altenew - Crafty Friends. The word "cards" from the sentiment was omitted because she's making hats lol. She was fun to color, but I was pretty much over coloring hats at the end of completion. This image is fantastic for all the knitters and crafters out there.

Some Odd Girl - Kodi Merman

Today I'm sharing this card using Merman Kody and the critter/shells in Under the Sea Mae from Some Odd Girl Stamps.

The background is a wave die that I colored with Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber). The bottom wave panel is colored with Copic markers. I cut some foliage in white cardstock and colored them in coordinating colors. All SOG images are colored with Copics as well. Kody's arm band and staff are covered in Gold Stickles glitter glue. For a little more interest, I added some white dots with white acrylic paint. Lastly, I had to add some "bubble" sequins.

Some Odd Girl - Laptop Tobie

Today's card features one of the new releases Laptop Tobie Digi Stamp from Some Odd Girl

My version of a CAS card (Clean and Simple). The sentiment if from Simon Says Stamp (Sending and Wishing). Tobie is colored with Copic markers. I adhered him to the card with dimensional foam adhesive. To "ground" him on the card, I used this shadow image from a random stamp set. I kept his shirt simple with two striped and mimicked the pattern on the bottom of the card.

Some Odd Girl - Dressy Mae

Hi and I'm back with another card for you this Friday! The image I used is Dressy Mae Digi Stamp and Loopy Sentiments V3 from Some Odd Girl

This beautiful image is colored with Copic markers. A touch of blue color in her hair gives the more blue/black hair tone. The blush on her cheeks are not colored with Copics, I used a pink chalk and applicator for a more natural look. I paired her up with flowers from I Am Roses. Several die cut shapes (stitched rectangles, scalloped rectangles, stitched ovals) were layered as the base for the image. I cut the sentiment "too fabulous" from Loopy Sentiments V3 in my Silhouette. Finishing touches, I added white dots for freckles and on her dress with a Copic opaque white paint. The texture on her eyelid is achieved with Stickles.

August IAR Challenge - Mr. & Mrs.

Happy Thursday! Here's my card for the new challenge at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. One of my friends is getting married and I created this card using her wedding colors.

I created a letter board by cutting two squares in different sizes and I scored the black cardstock to mimic grooves for the letters. I happened to have the perfect size alpha die to cut out "Mr & Mrs".

I used some wood grain pattern paper on the base of the card, added some b&w striped ribbon and some cream tulle before I added the letter board. Two types of leaves begin the base of my floral arrangement (rose and skeleton leaves). I layered several varieties of flowers and sizes in the colors lime green and white. Lastly, I inserted individual stamen in and around the flowers.

That is my card for the August IAR Challenge, hope you and my friend like it =)

Some Odd Girl - Scientist Tia

Hello everyone, happy Friday! We have a new digi release and she is Scientist Tia. I used the sentiment from Valentine Sentiments V1 as well.

For the background, I used various splatter stamps (Catherine Pooler) and pigment inks (Mommy Lhey). Tia is colored with Copic markers. Both her and the sentiment are adhered with dimensional foam dots. The great thing about digital stamps is that you can size it any way you want so that they fit your project. This card is kept CAS style (Clean And Simple).

Hope you give her a try and she pairs perfectly with Mad Scientist Tobie.
