FFF - Ribbon or Lace

Welcome Weekend!...well sort of. Happy Friday everyone! Farm Fresh Friday is here. Did you win? Check over at The Greeting Farm Blog.

The challenge today is hosted by Anita and it is to use "Ribbon or Lace" on your project. I used both. So here is my card using CC Friday Night. It's another Valentine's Day card.

I didn't paper piece her this time, well except for the trim on her hat. I used my Copic markers and I am happy how her hat turned out. I gave her pink rhinestone earrings and placed a heart sticker on her necklace.

I used my labels die to cut the shape of the designer paper and the image. I was able to use some scraps of trim for this ribbon/lace challenge. My favorite ribbon for making bows is this satin trim. It's very pliable and looks pretty. Underneath the ribbon is this white scallop trim that I was hoarding.

I added this red foiled puffy heart and a heart brad to the card. The "Free Hugs" sentiment is from Flutter Heart. To finish the card I took a black pen and drew stitches on the border. TA-DAH all done =).

If you have scraps of ribbon/lace that you haven't thrown away yet, this challenge is perfect. Give it a try and enter! Have a fabulous weekend!

GOOD LUCK!

Love Notes

Good Morning and Happy Thursday to everyone! It's Jo and today I'm sharing this cute 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card using Lovey Bean.

I hope you are able to get some inspiration for your Valentine's Day cards. I dissected the Lovey Bean stamp and fussy cut her out. I stamped/cut the hearts from the stamp out twice and put them side by side to create the banner on the top left corner. You don't have to use the stamp image as a whole, you can just select what images to use, have fun.

I placed a cute tiny foil heart sticker on her forehead for an added embellishment (shhhh don't tell anyone, but I made a boo boo and that sticker is covering it up LOL). I had this gold heart doily laying around and it went well with my love theme. I added a cluster of red/pink cherry blossoms that I thought matched the flowers in her hair.

So there is my project for today. Don't forget you still have time to enter the Farm Fresh Friday and Double-Take Tuesday Challenges.

GOOD LUCK!
~Jo

DTT - Purple & Green

Good morning! Head on over to The Greeting Farm for today's Double-Take Tuesday. Rachel is our host for this Purple & Green color challenge.

Here's my card using Sitting Wonderful from TGF's January Release.

I played around with my stash of I Am Roses flowers and just loved the purples and greens. I took apart a white floral spray and added the large green rose in the center and added some purple roses as accents.

Instead of paper piecing the couch, I decided to color it with my Copic markers and stamp a tiny flower image for the pattern. The image and the flowers are layered over a corrugated cardboard piece and a doily.

This is a fabulous color combo to play with. Make sure to check out the TGF blog for all the details for this challenge. Thanks for taking the time to stop over here. GOOD LUCK!

FFF - Message Me!

Hello my scrap lovelies! It's Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm. Are you ready for today's challenge? It's called "Message Me!". Include any type of script or text in your project. Here is my card using WS Gracie.

The designer paper has text AND script. I layered different heart embellishments and flowers. I colored Gracie with my Copic markers and I gave her little polka dots on her jacket. I can't resist adding polka dots.  What I did resist was paper piecing her hat, which was really hard to do.

Thanks for stopping by as usual. Come on over to the TGF blog and play with us.

DTT - Sketch

It's time for a new Double-Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. Today's challenge is a fabulous sketch from the talented Suzanne.

Here is the card that I created using the new Lovey Bean.

I colored her with my Copics and made her hair ultra shiny. She's like a chubby fairy, adorbs! I used black cardstock as the base of my card and scraps that I had laying around. I tried mimicking the flowers in her hair with the flower embellishment on the card....sort of =).

Using some Stickles Stardust, I covered her skirt, wings and the bubbles around her. For the sentiment, I just decided to add to the one already in the image, to kind of finish it off. So there is my card. If you haven't ever played along the DTT challenges you should try it. You never know, you could just win. GOOD LUCK!

FFF - Punch It

Hello Friday! Here is today's Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm. The challenge is to use either a punch or a die. I decided to use both. I can't get enough of CC Friday Night.

I paper pieced her hat and colored the rest of her with my Copic markers. I used a scallop border punch to trim the top and bottom of the card. The image is popped up on dimensional foam adhesive and laid on top of a scallop oval die cut and a scallop oval die cut. She looks like a rock star so I used the sentiment "Keep Rockin'".

So there is my card for you guys. Come and join us for this challenge. Have a great weekend and GOOD LUCK!

DTT - Blue & Yellow

Good morning! It's my first time hosting Double-Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm Blog. I have a Blue & Yellow color challenge for you all today. I have been having so much fun with all the January Releases. So here is my card that I made using Awareness Anya.

I paper pieced her outfit and colored her with my Copic markers. I wanted the yellow ribbon to pop so I covered it with Yellow Stickles. The yellow ribbon is commonly known to represent "Support Your Troops" so I used the sentiment "Thanks" from the My Guy Ian stamp set. (A chart of all the ribbon colors and what they mean can be found here) This stamp is so versatile and can be used for many occasions.

For the embellishments, I added some flat back pearls and I Am Roses flowers in yellow & cream. A doily and some lace trim were layered underneath the image.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping by! GOOD LUCK!
