Sea You Soon

Hi everyone, happy Monday! It's mid-day here and I wanted to share the card I made at a crop this past Saturday. I used Under the Sea Mae Clear Stamp from Some Odd Girl Stamps.

I am in LOVE with this card. I was able to use the Martha Stewart Iridescent Hexagon Glitter, OMG this is the best chunky glitter ever! I started from the darkest blue, light blue and then went into the dark green then the light green, creating this awesome ombre effect. I used glossy accents to adhere the glitter on to the card base.

I enjoyed coloring her with my Copics. I even added some of the glitter to her tail. I love to experiment with color techniques and just trying new things. This was my first attempt to blend blues & purples together. I just jumped right in and hoped for the best, SUCCESS!

I also added some texture with the dotting technique. I've seen this done on many images and love the look.
Another mermaid image comes in this stamp set, I can't wait to start coloring her! I might recreate this colored image in a video, so stay tuned on my YouTube Channel: Paperdrama.

Altered Paper Bag Handles

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share this mini tutorial of how I altered these bag handles from this grocery paper bag. I needed a huge gift bag and decided to upcycle this paper grocery bag from Target.

First I cut of the old handles and set them aside. To make the bag cuter, I cut out a scallop design on the top. I then added the designer paper on both sides. I used the old handles as a template and created my own with designer paper to match.

It turned out so cute and it just gave the bag more detail.

You can watch my Start-To-Finish video at my YouTube Channel HERE.

You can add handles to any size bag you want. Here, I added handles to these paper lunch bags.

Hope you enjoyed my little share with you. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Arigato & New Recollections 110lb CS Review

Happy Friday everyone! Last minute I wanted to share the card I made today. Also I decided to put a video up of the card/coloring process (**CLICK HERE**). Before I forget, I am trying out a new cardstock. It is Recollections 110lb White Cardstock bought at Michaels Craft Store. I wanted a thicker card base for white cs and for my one layer cards, so I wanted to give this a try.

Here are my thoughts: It works beautifully with my Copics. Unfortunately it still bleeds through the underside of the image. My go-to Copic paper is the Neenah Solar White Smooth Cardstock, BUT for the price w/40% coupon and a whole ream, I would totally reccommend this Recollections brand. There is a slight texture to the cardstock but not that noticeable.

The image is the cutest from Sister Stamps - Minako. Even though I am no longer a Guest Designer, I still love creating with their stamps!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hoppy Easter

Happy Friday! Here is my last post for Sister Stamps. I used two images, Kimie (Release #21) and Masa (Release #6). I colored Kimie the same way as my first post, Masa is colored with Copics and paper pieced with Origami paper.

I created a little Easter scene using both images. I thought it would be cute to use the Origami paper for the cloud die cuts. My sentiment "Hoppy Easter" was stamped individually with alpha stamps. I also fussy cut and colored eggs from the Masa image as an added embellishment.
You can watch my Copic Video of Masa on my YouTube Channel here

I hope that you have enjoyed all my projects using the images from Release #21, available March 1st. For a list/link of the retailers carrying Sister Stamps, go to their blog.

Happy Easter Treats

Welcome to my second post for Sister Stamps. I decorated these kraft pillow boxes that I got from the dollar bin at Target. The images are Moon & Jade. Both were fussy cut and colored with Copics.

I used these chalkboard tags, also from Target. With a chalk marker, I wrote a Happy Easter message. The flowers are from BoBunny, hahaha I didn't plan that.

You can watch my Copic Video of Moon on my YouTube Channel here

These were simple and easy to create. I hope you enjoyed my post today. As always, see what the others created today:

Sister Stamps Guest Designer & SomeBUNNY Loves You!

Hello, I have some fun news to share. I have been invited to be a Guest Designer for Sister Stamps!

They make lovely Asian themed rubber stamps. Today I am using two images from the upcoming Release #21 March 1st.

Here are Kimie & Jade, I titled this card "SomeBUNNY Loves You".

All the images are colored with my Copics. You can watch my Copic Video of Kimie on my YouTube Channel here. I had so much fun coloring her and the bunnies. I didn't want her to look like she was floating on air, so I created a grass background with my Copics.

I hope you are liking the images for this release. Check out what the other Designers have created:

IAR January Challenge

Hello 2014! Happy New Year everyone! It's only the 1st day of the year and I already have a project for you. I created this for the January IAR Challenge going on at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. Here I made some tags out of my mason jar die from Sizzix.

I created 2 large tags and 1 small tag. Here is a video of myself constructing one of the large tags.

I loved using the 1", 1/2" Roses in clusters. My fave filler from IAR are the foam head stamens.

These would be cute to attach to homemade gifts or baked goodies.

Come join us over at the IAR Challenge blog and enter to win I Am Roses flowers.

IAR "Tis the Season" Blog Hop

Hi everyone, WELCOME to the I Am Roses "Tis the Season" Blog Hop. If you are following the hop, you are coming from R.Maria Sabina. There is going to be so much holiday inspiration on this hop, hope you enjoy!

So here is what I have created for you today, I made a decorative bow from scratch, no sewing at all. This creation of mine will grace the front of my apt. door. The bow measures approx. 16.5" x 23".

I used some grey chevron burlap trim for the bow and two mini wooden wreaths for the center.

Here are close up photos of the mini wreath. Everything I used to construct this bow all came from my craft stash, yay for not needing to go to the store!

The larger of the trio of roses is a R60 (2") and the other two in red are R77's (2")

White Foam Head Stamens (ST1), Small Red/White Scrapbook Flowers (S10), and Red/Green Lilies (LY1) are used as beautiful fillers to make the wreath look more lush. I used Maple Leaves (L0) as the base for the flowers to lay on.

I also filmed a start-to-finish video that you can watch here: Paperdrama. Let's get on to the details of this hop.

IAR "BOO-tiful" Blog Hop

Hi everyone, welcome to the IAR "BOO-tiful" Blog Hop, hosted by the

You should be arriving from Ivett's Blog, if not that's okay. The Blog Hop list is below so that you can make sure to comment on all the blogs for your chance to win some I Am Roses flowers.

Today I altered some Mini Takeout Treat Boxes. I bought a pack of these boxes from my local Michael's in their dollar-fifty bins. I thought they would be perfect because they had black and white stripes. I cut some images from Halloween designer paper and placed them in the front, perfect fit! I had some old tags in my stash and I just decorated them with twine, goodly eyes and some stamped images.

The I Am Roses leaves and flowers were only adhered to one flap. I layered one colored leaf, a 3/4" rose and a 1 1/2" flower together.

The opening flaps are not glued or tied shut. To keep the treat box closed and secure, I wrapped some orange baker's twine around the box twice and through a hole on the tags.

Things are so much easier when you don't have to construct the actual treat box and all you have to do is decorate them. Easy peasy for any party where you have to make multiples. So that's my project share for you guys today, you can view my video here. I hope you have fun visiting all the creations made by the IAR Design Team.

Next up is Joy!

Here is the blog list to follow:

GOOD LUCK!!

MySytleStamps - Halloween Party!

It's a Halloween Party! for my last DT project for MyStyleStamps. I wanted to create a card that showcased all the characters from July-Sept (my DT Term). So this is what I came up with, it's a side step card.

This card took me ages to complete, well just a couple of hours, plus I was cropping with family so I may have been a bit distracted. I used all the girls from the MSS stamp sets that I received for my 3 month term. They were already in "costume" so why not have a Halloween party.

All the images were colored with my Copics, boy did that take a while.  I did a lot in this card, so you can watch my video here where I explain all the details.

I had such an amazing time with Nicole's (the owner) stamps. They were truly a joy to work with. I hope you continue to show her your love and support over at her blog & store

'Til next time (tomorrow - 2 Blog Hops), Happy Crafting!

MyStyleStamps - Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Well not yet, but I wanted to share this card with you guys. This is Card #3 using the Little Pumpkin set from MySytleStamps. It is now available. I tried creating a little trick or treat scene on this card.

I used all of the images that I could color in the stamp set and got a bit creative to create a larger pumpkin. I wanted to have a peek-a-boo window on this card, so I used a circle cutter in the center. I cut the designer papers accordingly to fit that cut out. I busted out an old die of my from LifeStyle Crafts (formerly QuickKutz) that contained a haunted house and a cloud shape. Most of the images are popped up on dimensional pop dots, I can't not pop something up.

I used my Copics for all the colored images. I've been using the same color combo for all the pumpkins for all my cards, it's time for me to buy refills.

I created a video explaining the whole card process and how I created the above large pumpkin. Can you guess how I did it?? Watch the video here.

My term with MyStyleStamps comes to an end this September, so I will be having one more card for you next week. I'm really excited to show you this last card, still in the works, the idea is in my head, hopefully it comes out the way I picture it LOL. Stay tuned!

Have a beautiful Thursday!

MyStyleStamps - Aloha

Happy Thursday! This will be my third project using the Aloha Stamp Set from MyStyleStamps. I love seeing different samples using one stamp set and I hope you do too.

Here is the card that I created. Using a Polaroid Film die, I wanted the image to look like it was taken on a Hawaiian vacation of a Luau or something =) I stamped the girl image 2x and colored the top half and bottom half of each image separately.

I fussy cut both flower images (small & large). Star Dust Stickles were added only to the flowers in the frame. Using some burlap chevron trim that I had in my stash, I just laid it down the center of the card. You can view a close up of my card in this video HERE.

Stop by the MyStyleStamps Blog, there is a new set Creepy Creatures that was just release, also you will get updates on upcoming new stamps. As always thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. Stay tuned for some more projects. Bye!

FFF - Back to School

Hello everyone, I wanted to post my card that I made for this

over at The Greeting Farm.

It's very simple, but a tiny bit of labor went into this card. I did some fussy cutting and added two layers of dimensional pop dots. I filmed a Start-to-Finish Video of this card. I don't do these videos often because I have to work my way around a camera in front of me, awkward set-up but it's all I've got LOL.

The theme for this FFF's challenge is "Back to School". The stamp set I used is the OA - Little Dreamer Set. This set is too cute with the backpacks! Not much explaining needs to be said about this card, I colored the image, I cut it out and added dimensional pop dots =)

You have 'til Thursday to enter over at the TGF Blog. Have a beautiful Sunday!

GOOD LUCK!!

MyStyleStamps - Hula Girls

Happy Friday! Here is my second project from the MyStyleStamps Aloha Set. I titled this one "Hula Girls". This set only comes with one image of the hula girl, but with a little masking and placement, I have three beautiful girls! You can check out my YouTube video here showing how I accomplished this.

The images and background are all colored using my Copic markers. It took me a bit to finish this entire image, but I really like how it turned out. The stamp set also comes with another little flower image, which I fussy cut and placed on the card (on the middle girls hair, the hula skirt, and the blonde's wrist).

To make the center image stand out, I colored another stamped image of the hula skirt and popped it up with dimensional pop dots. I also added a second flower on her hair that is also popped up. The flowers and leis are all covered with Yellow Stickles. I kept the card very simple with some matting to keep the image the main focus.

So there you have it. This was fun and I hope you guys try this masking technique using this stamp set. Have a great weekend!
