The theme is "ANYTHING SIMPLE & SOG Goes", be sure to use ANY Some Odd Girl clear stamp, digi stamp or cut file. The digi image I used is Tropical Piper. I am loving these head shots type of images.

I colored her with Copic Markers and the sparkle on the hoop earring and flower stamen is Yellow Stickles. I also added some Star Dust Stickles on the flower petals. I framed the image out using a circle die and a coordinating scalloped circle die. I don't normally color curly hair because I don't, lol, but I thought to challenge myself. SOG Sweet Mae

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I made over at the Some Odd Girl Facebook Community. The image is  Sweet Mae

I colored her with Copic Markers and the sparkle on her top is from Star Dust Stickles. I framed the image out using the Basic Pierced Ovals die and layered it above the Gilded Oval Die. These two die sets coordinate beautifully. Using the edge die in the Cutting Edge Borders 1 set, I cut the pink polka dot cs and layered it in the background above the pattern paper used for the base. I used the Basic Stitched Flags die on the top corner and also for the vellum cs cut out for the "Smile" sentiment. I added flowers from I Am Roses, small tiny rhinestones and some enamel dots for embellishments.

SOG Ninja Tobie

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I made for the current challenge over at the Some Odd Girl Facebook Community. It's the Blue & Green Challenge (March 17-28th), use these two colors on your project.

Here I am using the image Ninja Tobie. He totally kicks ass! lol. I colored him with Copic Markers and added some Star Dust Stickles to his headband, belt and ninja star. The fun part of the card is that I place him on an Action Wobble, you know the spring that wobbles. I used some die cuts and the word Super for my sentiment. The perfect card for that person into karate or someone who likes to be a ninja lol.

I Heart U Gwen

Hi everyone, Happy Saturday! Today's card I created for the Monochromatic Challenge over at the Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group, sponsored by Some Odd Girl

I used the Digi Stamp - I Heart U Gwen. The color I chose was Red. She is colored with Copic Markers. This was such a fun challenge, I was hesitant in giving her red eyes but let's pretend she's a vampire LOL. I pulled out several red colored flowers my stash and used die cuts that were in my "scrap" bin. I chose to use some rose toned flat back pearls for an added embellishment.

Make a Splash

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm back with Part 2 of Under the Sea Mae from Some Odd Girl Stamps. This is the second mermaid image and sentiment from the stamp set. I decided to go with the same layout/look as the first card (blog post here). I added a second image of a clam shell, from Make it Crafty, perfect!

I used the red & pinks in the Martha Stewart set to create the glitter ombre effect, all adhered with Glossy Accents. I used a shell image from the SOG set and fussy cut it out and placed it on her hair with pearls. I used various sized flat back pearls on this card, I especially love the largest pearl.

All the images are colored with my Copics. As always this was a joy to create, coloring is so relaxing. This is the fisrt time I used the pink/green combo and I love it! She kinda reminds me of The Little Mermaid Ariel, maybe I should color her tail blue next time =)

Thanks for taking the time to look at my creation. All supplies/colors listed below.

Sea You Soon

Hi everyone, happy Monday! It's mid-day here and I wanted to share the card I made at a crop this past Saturday. I used Under the Sea Mae Clear Stamp from Some Odd Girl Stamps.

I am in LOVE with this card. I was able to use the Martha Stewart Iridescent Hexagon Glitter, OMG this is the best chunky glitter ever! I started from the darkest blue, light blue and then went into the dark green then the light green, creating this awesome ombre effect. I used glossy accents to adhere the glitter on to the card base.

I enjoyed coloring her with my Copics. I even added some of the glitter to her tail. I love to experiment with color techniques and just trying new things. This was my first attempt to blend blues & purples together. I just jumped right in and hoped for the best, SUCCESS!

I also added some texture with the dotting technique. I've seen this done on many images and love the look.
Another mermaid image comes in this stamp set, I can't wait to start coloring her! I might recreate this colored image in a video, so stay tuned on my YouTube Channel: Paperdrama.

Hello Friend

Hi everyone, I'm back with another card share for you. This time I used Some Odd Girl Spunky Sprite Digi. I love fairies, always wanted to be one when I grew up. The main focus of the card is her. I have her being carried up into the clouds by two birds whilst sitting on a banner that says "Hello Friend".

I finally used these cloud dies from Memory Box, the perfect mini size. They were cut out of vellum paper and embossed with little polka dots. I just wrapped some burlap twine from May Arts around the banner. I used dimensional pop dots on the banner and the fairy.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my card. I will follow up me recreating this gal in a Copic video on my YouTube Channel, so keep a look out.

Have a great week!

Cards & a Crop

Happy Friday! I was able to create some cards yesterday with a bunch of my crafty friends. I used Some Odd Girl Stamps for the main images.

I kept these cards very simple and the girls were the main focus of the card. They were colored with my Copics. The balloons were cut from My Creative Time! Stitched Party Dies.

In 2014 I want to make a point to use what's in my stash. I've been using baker's twine in my recent cards and I love it!

The best thing about going to crops, is the FOOD! Deliciousness!!
(Chile Relleno Casserole, Refried Beans, Spanish Rice, Salad & Dessert - not shown)

The worst thing about going to crops, is coming home and having to put away all your supplies that you took. Ugh...gotta do that this morning.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
