April IAR Challenge

Hey it's me again =) Here is my card for the I Am Roses April Challenge. The theme is Easter and the challenge is to incorporate an Egg or Egg Shape. I decided to cut an oval shape for the egg and then I used Small Gardenia Curly Petals to fill in the shape. The petals came in different shades of yellow and also white. I love how full and fluffy it is.

The bunny was cut from a die at a scrapbook store and I then embossed it with Swiss Dots from Cuttlebug. The bunny is layered over pink vellum paper that I trimmed with decorative pinking scissors for added detail.

I tied two sets of seam binding for the bows. The center sits a 3/4" White & Pink Rose. The paper is from Prima London Market and I finished the card with flat back pearls on all corners.

This challenge was fun, I hope you participate over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. Also I would like to give a warm WELCOME to Designer Sharon Martinelli. She is one talented lady and joins our IAR Design Team.

One last thing, there are NEW Badges over at the IAR Blog, make sure you check them out!

Thanks for passing by, have a beautiful Tuesday!

Feb IARCC - Pink & Yellow

Good Morning, Hello Saturday! Today I am sharing my February I Am Roses Color Challenge project. The colors are PINK & YELLOW for this month.

Here is a before picture of a strawberry container that I decided to keep for a future "gift box".

Now here is the after:

I combined a Rose Flower in the Big Gardenia, a Floral Spray and Puffy Semi Rose Buds to complete this floral arrangement  on the lid of the container.

The container snaps shut, but I wrapped some seam binding ribbon to an added touch. I stamped a sentiment from Kaiser Craft on a die cut scrap. The edges are inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

I have a process video up on my YouTube Channel here. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to check out my creation. Come join in on the fun and enter to win some I Am Roses flowers.

IAR January Challenge

Hello 2014! Happy New Year everyone! It's only the 1st day of the year and I already have a project for you. I created this for the January IAR Challenge going on at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. Here I made some tags out of my mason jar die from Sizzix.

I created 2 large tags and 1 small tag. Here is a video of myself constructing one of the large tags.

I loved using the 1", 1/2" Roses in clusters. My fave filler from IAR are the foam head stamens.

These would be cute to attach to homemade gifts or baked goodies.

IAR "Tis the Season" Blog Hop

Hi everyone, WELCOME to the I Am Roses "Tis the Season" Blog Hop. If you are following the hop, you are coming from R.Maria Sabina. There is going to be so much holiday inspiration on this hop, hope you enjoy!

So here is what I have created for you today, I made a decorative bow from scratch, no sewing at all. This creation of mine will grace the front of my apt. door. The bow measures approx. 16.5" x 23".

I used some grey chevron burlap trim for the bow and two mini wooden wreaths for the center.

Here are close up photos of the mini wreath. Everything I used to construct this bow all came from my craft stash, yay for not needing to go to the store!

The larger of the trio of roses is a R60 (2") and the other two in red are R77's (2")

White Foam Head Stamens (ST1), Small Red/White Scrapbook Flowers (S10), and Red/Green Lilies (LY1) are used as beautiful fillers to make the wreath look more lush. I used Maple Leaves (L0) as the base for the flowers to lay on.

IAR Featured Flower: Small Daisies

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend was fabulous! I had a beautiful time cooking for my sister, catching up with a friend, stopped by at my favorite stamp store Stamp Your Heart Out in Claremont, CA and had some yummy  frozen yogurt at 21Choices. Oh and a full day of laundry...yes it was still a great weekend =)

It's a new challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog: Featured Flower - Designer's Choice. My choice of flowers are the Small Daisies (D2).

I created this Fall themed card. The Small Daisies are measured approx. at 1". They come in a variety of colors, I used the tangerine color. You can see the difference between the regular sized Daisy vs. the Small Daisy. I added an assortment of Tiny Rose Buds and Small Semi Open Rose Buds, as well as .25" roses. I layered all of these on top of a mixture of colored Maple Leaves.

The Small Daisies are the perfect fillers for your cards and they coordinate with any flower, in my opinion.

IAR "BOO-tiful" Blog Hop

Hi everyone, welcome to the IAR "BOO-tiful" Blog Hop, hosted by the

You should be arriving from Ivett's Blog, if not that's okay. The Blog Hop list is below so that you can make sure to comment on all the blogs for your chance to win some I Am Roses flowers.

Today I altered some Mini Takeout Treat Boxes. I bought a pack of these boxes from my local Michael's in their dollar-fifty bins. I thought they would be perfect because they had black and white stripes. I cut some images from Halloween designer paper and placed them in the front, perfect fit! I had some old tags in my stash and I just decorated them with twine, goodly eyes and some stamped images.

The I Am Roses leaves and flowers were only adhered to one flap. I layered one colored leaf, a 3/4" rose and a 1 1/2" flower together.

The opening flaps are not glued or tied shut. To keep the treat box closed and secure, I wrapped some orange baker's twine around the box twice and through a hole on the tags.

Things are so much easier when you don't have to construct the actual treat box and all you have to do is decorate them. Easy peasy for any party where you have to make multiples. So that's my project share for you guys today, you can view my video here. I hope you have fun visiting all the creations made by the IAR Design Team.

Next up is Joy!

"Birthday Fun" IARCC

Happy Birthday! To who? Anyone and everyone. This month's theme over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog is "Birthday Fun" and it's also a Color Challenge, Yellow. I created these "Mini Birthday Hat Place Settings". Hehehe that's a mouthful.

I've been doing so many cards lately, I wanted to actually create something else. This is a cute and fun decor for a birthday party. Change up the pattern paper/colors to match the party theme. The Mini Hats are constructed from one piece of a 6x6 paper that I cut and rounded off one of the corners and rolled up the sheet to make the cone shape. I chose the colors Pink & Yellow for a girly party. These measure about 6 1/2" H x 3" W. If you add some string on both sides of the base, you can easily make it into a wearable mini hat.

I made a monogram banner on a toothpick and inserted it behind the flowers. These look more cute as place settings then a plain rectangular card.

I used the Big Yellow Puffy Daisies as the base of the floral centerpiece and then used a variety of flowers (see links below for a list of the flowers) for the center. Changing up the centers make them more unique and different from one another.

These were so fun to make and now I want to have a party and make some more LOL. Maybe I'll use these for a scrap party.

GOOD LUCK!!

July IAR Challenge - Featured Flower

Hey guys, I have another post for you today. Here I am sharing my project that I made for the July Challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog.

Here is the tag I made.

The featured flowers are the new Lilies (LY). Aren't they gorgeous. If you want to win some, head on over to the I Am Roses Challenge Blog for more details on this month's challenge.

I finally gave in and got a Prima Dolls Stamp by Julie Nutting. I also used the coordinating Tag set. On the background of the tag, I sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in the colors Plumeria Pink and Creme Brulee Cream. The image of the girl is colored with my Copics and I paper pieced her entire outfit. One requirement of the challenge is to use vellum, here instead of using designer paper, I used vellum for my doily die. The paper collection I used is from DCWV the Primrose Collection.

I made a cluster of the lilies, added some stamens and used seam binding for the ribbon up top. I had a leaf and mini butterflies punches by Martha Stewart and I used vellum for that also.

At the bottom of the card is another cluster of lilies, stamens and vellum leaves. Underneath it all are some two toned maple leaves. Added some die cuts and pearls to finish off the tag.

This was fun to make and the lilies are to die for! Come join us and enter to win the new Lilies!

GOOD LUCK!!
