7 Kids College Fund Challenge: Anything Goes w/Twist

Happy Wednesday! A new challenge is up over at the 7Kids Challenge Blog. The challenge is "Anything Goes - with an Optional Twist (Get Wordy)". Really simple, use a sentiment.

Today I created a Christmas card. What?! Yep, I started on holiday cards, yikes! I used this cute mini set from Lawn Fawn - Winter Owl. He is so cute and all snuggly in his scarf. For the Sentiment Twist, I used the one included in the set and cut it out with Lawn Fawn - Chit Chat Dies. I love these word bubble dies, I can use them with lots of sentiments in my stamp stash. The background is clean and uncluttered by using an embossing folder from Darice - Birch Tree. The green chevron paper is from Echo Park - Summer Bliss and I cut it with a landscape die. Lastly, I wrapped some baker's twine and added a button to the card.

Here is a close up of the scarf that I colored with the Wink of Stella Pen in Clear. A subtle shimmer is perfect. The End!

I {Heart} Mermaids

Good Morning everyone! It's Saturday...again and it's my turn on the 7 Kids Store Blog. Here's my card using Magnolia's Pisces Tilda. I love mermaids, and I just had to add her to my collection. She looks so cute just chillin' on her lilypad.

I colored her with my Copics but didn't have the right pink in my collection. So as an alternative, I used the pinks from the BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers 24 Assorted Mix. They blended beautifully. For the water, I used some green and blue shimmer chalks. Using Liquid Pearls in White Opal, I gave her a pearl headband. With a few taps on the back of the card while the pearls are wet, it flattens the peaks of the liquid.

The flower is from Petaloo Burlap Blossoms - Pistachio. It went well with the beachy theme. I pulled the silver sequins from the Sulyn Assorted Sequins Mix. I think the bling went well with the pearls and shells. I also added a string of pearls from an old necklace along with cheese cloth in the background.

This is my crafty share for you today, please take some time to join us at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Anything Goes

Happy Hump Day! A new challenge begins at the  7Kids Challenge Blog.

It's "Anything Goes" and I used Hula Hula Tilda, Sun & Cloud Dies from Echo Park and Sequins! Tilda is colored with Copics and accented with Wink of Stella Clear. She's a little pale to be a hula girl, but give her time =)

The "Sunny", sun and cloud are all from the Echo Park - Sun & Cloud Dies. On the cloud I used a polka dot embossing folder for some dimension. These dies cut like buttah! I had to add sequins for a lil' sparkle.

Friends 4 Ever

Friends 4 Ever! Happy Weekend! I'm sharing my card using Write a Message Tilda. She's holding a chalkboard and you can put any message on it. I found the perfect sized sentiment from Woodgrain Backdrops from Lawn Fawn. She is colored with my Copics and her outfit is accented with the Wink of Stella Clear pen.

The paper I used is Echo Park - Summer Bliss. I kept this card simple but wanted to add a flower embellishment, Petaloo Burlap Blossoms - Ivory. New to the store are sequins! Sequins are the new rhinestones =) I chose orange sequins from Sulyn - Mixed Sequins pack.

Enjoy the Journey

Good Morning! Happy Hump Day! Today's projects are featuring the new stamp set Enjoy the Journey from Avocado Arts.

Let's begin!

Card 1: Let Your Light Shine!
I white embossed the sentiment on vellum. Using my favorite sun, from the Sassy Chick set, I layered it underneath the sentiment so that it peaks through. I might have gotten hooked on the sequin trend, so I added a few bits on the card for some sparkle.

Card 2: Enjoy the Journey
These shoes are the cutest! I love how there are two and you can stamp multiples at once. I colored the images with Copics and added some Glossy accents to the soles and Wink of Stella Clear on the red part of the shoe. I used some black burlap string to mimic the shoelaces, adhered the shoes to the ends of the string and tied a little bow. I added some loops to the string to make them match the laces as well.

Card 3: #Keep on Keepin' On
The beetle bug makes another appearance in this stamp set, previously in Forever Yours. I created a hillside for the car to travel on with luggage in tote on the roof. It's a real heavy load so I really like the sentiment Keep on Keepin' On. I added a little hashtag/number (Days & Months). Another sentiment that I thought to add was Today (When & Where).

These are my cards for you this Wednesday. I hope that you've enjoyed them =)

Have a beautiful day!

Vintage Shabby Notebook

Hello! I'm sharing my project that I created for the I Am Roses Designer Challenge for July. I've had this notebook hybernating in my stash and I decided to pull it out and give it a facelift.

I went for a Vintage Shabby look. There are a plethera of flowers: Lilies, Gardenias, Roses, Mini Roses, Floral Sprays and Leaves.

The paper I used is from Prima the Divine Collection. I layered a sheet of vellum that I embossed the edges with white embossing powder and used a decorative scissor to cut along the border. Also from Prima, is a wooden veneer embellishment with a checkboard pattern. Lastly, I added a tiny cute floral trim, some pearls and a doily.

I think you can see a major difference from the before and after. All the flowers I used are listed below with links.

GOOD LUCK!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Anything Goes w/Twist

Happy Wednesday! It's time for a NEW Challenge over at the 7Kids Challenge Blog.

Let's get started, the theme is "ANYTHING GOES with an optional twist of TAGS".
You are to create a TAG or include one in your project.

I made a circle tag for a little something for someone who has the sickies =) I used this mason jar mug and filled it up with jumbo marshmallows and some hot cocoa packets. I used Lawn Fawn products for the tag: On the MendGet Well Soon/Get Well Soon Die Cuts and Chit Chat Custom Dies

The little ladybug (On the Mend) fit perfectly in the medicine jar (Get Well Soon)! With a lttle masking, I was able to ommit the image of the label. Of course I couldn't forget about the cute bandaid images with the smiley faces. The large image is from On the Mend and the small images are from Get Well Soon

The sentiment "sorry you caught a bug!" is from On the Mend and I used a scalloped word bubble die from Chit Chat Custom Dies. The tag measures 3" and I added some faux stitching for detail. The tag hangs from jute rope that is wrapped around the lip of the jar.

Cute and simple to make for a sick friend in need of some TLC!

Come join us!

 GOOD LUCK!!!
