It's MAY-day @The Greeting Farm

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It's MAY-day at The Greeting Farm and we here to celebrate our wonderful spring-themed release! We hope you've truly enjoyed the last few days of preview as we've introduced you to two new Anyas, and THREE new TGF dies! The possibilities are truly endless with these versatile borders and we are anticipating seeing some super cute projects made by a lot of you!

There's a lot of fun to be had this month and we are just getting started with our RELEASE DAY blog hop! As always, the prize is one sweet deal, as one lucky winner will receive the ENTIRE May Release!

Before I leave you with one amazing lineup, here's what I have for you today:

I am using the new release Anya Strolls & TGF Gate Die. The paper is from Recollections - Union Square. I made an easel card (measures 5.5 x 5.5). The Gate Die fit perfectly on this size card, leaving a little border on each end.

I had so much fun coloring her outfit with my Copics. I wasn't planning on making a video, but I recorded myself experimenting, I created a leopard print on her trench coat and the matching outfit for the dog.

So cute! I hope you give this technique a try.

GOOD LUCK on winning the entire release!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you're just getting here, be sure to head back over to the TGF Blog to begin the hop. Here's our order for the May release party:

JO THOMPSON (You're Here)

...and BACK to the TGF Blog to leave your comment letting us know you've hopped, left comments, and what you love best about this month's release! You have until 11:30pm CST this evening to sit back, take in all the new creations, and enter to win! Thanks so much for your support and excitement as we ring in our MAY stamp release!

TGF- May Preview "Garden Anya & Tulip Border Die"

Good morning everyone! It's day 2 of the May Release for The Greeting Farm. If you missed the first preview of Anya Strolls & TGF Gate Die, check it out here. Today's release preview is Garden Anya & Tulip Border Die. These make the perfect combo.

Here I used both the stamp and the border die. I colored Garden Anya with my Copic markers and I paper pieced here dress and the flowers on her hat. The Tulip Border Die was plain white cs and I colored it with my Copic markers as well. I used a portion of the border die on the top of the card, I basically trimmed off the tulips and just used the bottom scalloped heart trim. The sentiment used is from Anya Blooms.

On my second card, I used the Tulip Border die. I cut it from pattern paper. The little hearts on the card are the ones cut from the die. I ran the die a couple of times using white cs to have multiple hearts. I then colored them with my Copic markers. I used Crystal Stickles all over the hearts.

The sentiment is from Anya Strolls (May Release). It's very faint but I used the Mini Clouds w/Die set to create the cloud background. I cut out the cloud and used it as my guide to sponge on the ink for the cloud shape.

So there are today's releases, Garden Anya & the Tulip Border Die. She's really cute and the dies that are coming out are wonderful.  If you want a chance to win these, head on over to the TGF Blog and comment on the post that shows this release.

GOOD LUCK!

Lindy's Stamp Gang's Birthday Blog Hop

WELCOME to Lindy's Stamp Gang's Birthday Blog Hop!
We are celebrating Lindy's birthday with an awesome Blog Hop. Our fabulous Designers have created birthday themed projects for you guys. There are birthday presents hidden in the Designers' blogs, so make sure to comment. Here are the LSG goodies you can win:

Here are the details:
Starts: Saturday April 27th (6am PST)
Ends: Satruday May 4th (Midnight PST)

Blog Hop List:

Here is my project for the hop:

I made a confetti filled background card. I used 9 LSG color sprays! I took each spray individually, unscrewed the cap off, then I tapped the tube so that the liquid would drip off. I hope that makes sense LOL. I did this to all the sprays and just repeated the colors til I was satisfied with the results. I love the range of sizes of the droplets.

I stamped the birthday sentiment on a vellum fish tail banner. I added a yellow rhinestone for a pop of bling. I also had this swirly stamp thingy that I used on the card and covered it with some Stickles in Crystal. I kept my brithday card pretty simple but I had a blast making it using all the LSG colors.

So this is the last stop in the blog hop, but if you are coming to my blog for the first time, you might want to start from the beginning at the LSG Blog.

Thank for you for hopping along all the Designers' Blogs. We all hope that you had fun and GOOD LUCK on winning the prizes!! Have a fabulous weekend!

FFF - Flowers

Happy Friday! Today's FFF over at The Greeting Farm Blog are FLOWERS. I had so much fun junking up Hatter Bean's hat. It already had flower images and a bow on it but I wanted to make them 3D. You know, those really big embellished hats that ladies wear to a Tea Party....well at least that's what I think they wear LOL.

I used some mini flowers and I tied a bow using some lace trim. I cut a few stems of a blinged out spray and stuck it in with the flowers. To add a little more pizazz, I added some mini flat back pearls on the strap of the hat.

I used this "Tea Time" sentiment stamp in my stash, perfect! I layered a lace border sticker and an embossed vellum strip together. There's my card for you today. Hope you join and play.

Also, May Previews are going on over at the TGF Blog, you don't want to miss out on a chance to win them.

GOOD LUCK!!

DTT - Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! This Double-Take Tuesday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog is a photo inspiration pic.

Here is my interpretation of that into a card:

I used Valentine Anya Digi from TGF, she's not just for Valentine's Day. The image is colored with my Copic markers and I tried to make her heart look like Earth =) It may not be geographically correct but you can tell that its planet Earth...right? LOL I then covered the heart with Glossy Accents.

This was my first attempt to color a darker skin on my images. I don't have a big selection of Copic markers, so I made due with the colors that I have. I still need practice but it's a start. I cut the flowers out of kraft cs and stamped the images using the coordinating stamps in the Mini Fleurs w/Die Set. I had the perfect sentiment in my stash that said "Earth Day", sweet!

So that was my simple easy Earth Day card for you guys. Please come and join us over at TGF Blog. Come play and enter to win!

GOOD LUCK!!

I'm delighted to be a part of this Blog Hop, Congratulations Lina for celebrating 1 year!!...and to many more!  So, without further adieu, here is the project I created for you today...

The card base is 5.5" x 5.5" and I used the Picture Perfect Sophie image. I just love anything to do with Polaroids  I decided to just color the inside of the picture frame and color the rest in a neutral color with my Copic markers. Over her bow & outfit, I used Xmas Red Stickles to make it pop. The bottom of the Polaroid was the perfect spot to stamp my sentiment.

I hand cut the heart in the background, added this heart doily border sticker that was bought at DAISO (Japanese dollar store). I kept the flowers all white and added some vellum leaves. Flat back pearls were the bling of  choice.

To celebrate, we’ve got some fun in store for all of you... Be sure to hop along to ALL of our DT and GDT member’s blogs and be sure to leave a comment on every blog in order to qualify for a prize. The comments will be CLOSED at April 22nd Midnight PST.

FFF - Recylce/Alter Something

This Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm is really fun. You are to recycle or alter something. I chose to alter this Clorox Wipes container.

Before

After

No Copic markers for these ladies (Alice Bean/Cheshire Bean). I paper pieced both images so that they would tie in with the pattern paper. I used some alpha stickers to spell out wipes. Some images from the DP were fussy cut out.

Lace trim border the top and bottom of the container. I used I Am Roses flowers and flat back pearls for embellishments. Also I used some homemade texture paste and a stencil for the script image in the background.

I love the corset detail that I did on the back, created with a Fiskars border punch. I just widened the holes with my crop-a-dile so that the lace would fit through.

This challenge was really fun and made me think outside of the box. I hope you guys can play along!
GOOD LUCK!!

DTT - Sketch

Happy Double-Take Tuesday! Did you win last DTT Challenge? Go to The Greeting Farm Blog and find out. Today is a sketch challenge provided by the talented DT gal Suzanne. On April 5th over at the TGF website, for a limited time some retired stamps were up for grabs and I was able to get Lolli Anya. Isn't she so cute! I know that some of you were able to get her because she sold out fast. I wanted to create a card using her.

She's colored with my Copic markers and glittered up with Stickles glitter glue. I was able to incorporate the Delicate Words Die "Enjoy" (April Release) and the Mini Fleurs w/Die (March Release).

Here is the sketch that I worked with:

I used some bright and festive paper from American Crafts. I figure this card can be used for a birthday gift.
So if you plan on creating something using this sketch, please join us on this DTT's challenge.

GOOD LUCK!

FFF - Clouds

Woohoo it's Friday! Here is today's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog. I'm hosting today and the theme is Clouds. As long as there's clouds in your project, you can enter.

I used the new Alice Bean stamp. This is a Limited Edition, so once they are gone, they are GONE. She's so cute and easy to color. My clouds element on my card were cut from the Mini Clouds w/Die stamp set.

I added some faux stitching on the clouds with a white & black pen. The background I created using Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and just some scrap pieces of paper that I used to create a mask for the diagonal stripes. I was trying to create sun beams =).

The sentiment is from a dollar stamp from Michael's. So there is my card for this FFF. If you crafting this weekend, come on over and play along this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a crafty weekend!

DTT - Pink/Yellow/Turquoise

Hey Tuesday! It's a Double-Take Tuesday color challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog.

Pink, Yellow and Turquoise

Here's my card using this color scheme. The image used is Queen Bean. She's colored with my Copics and jazzed up with Stickles for some added sparkle.

The sentiment "Smile" is from the Delicate Words Die, layered over vellum that is embossed with some polka dots. I added some faux stitching with a turquoise Sharpie marker inside of the white circle.

This color combo was fun, can't wait to see what you guys come up with for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by and GOOD LUCK!

FFF - Bling It

Hello everyone! Yay it's Friday again =) This Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm is "Bling It". I am using Queen Bean. I decided to use his photo as reference:

Inspiration Photo

Here's my card:

The base of my card is black cardstock. I used an embossing folder that had this dotted/line border. You can't see it, but there is an embossed image of a crown/wings in the center. I just wanted the border, so I covered it with this stamped image from Tim Holtz Book Covers. I sprayed some of my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in brown and edged it with Tea Dye/ Black Soot Distress Ink. I layered the TGF image on a Spellbinders Floral Motif Doily Die and punched out a circle out of book paper. I wanted the background to look like a book cover and that's why I used the book paper. To give the paper an aged look, I edged it with Tea Dye Distress Ink.

For my bling, I went Stickle crazy and drenched her in it LOL. It's on her crown, her hearts, earrings and her outfit/shoes. The "Hello" is from the Delicate Words Die and the paper I used is this red glitter paper. I cut a piece of black satin ribbon for the word to lay on.

So there's my card. I hope you guys are enjoying this Limited Edition release. They are just flying off the shelves. Please join us for this FFF Challenge.

GOOD LUCK!
