You're Sew Nice Birthday Card
This card was made for a scrappy friend.....aren't they all =) There are several November birthdays that I need to make cards for, here's one of them. I used my scraps from my previous birthday card post (10.27.10) and some other pattern paper in the collection The Thrift Shop from October Afternoon. It's not pictured but the sentiment inside the card reads, "You're sew nice". You can watch the video of how I put this card together here.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Hi everyone. I hope everyone is ready for tonight....don't eat all the candy, save some for the trick-or-treaters. I was at Disneyland this past Thursday, I just love all their holiday decorations. Here are just a few pics to share.
Have a great and safe evening! Don't forget to take lots of pictures to scrap =)

This is a card that I created today for a special someone's birthday. I love love love how this turned out. The paper collection I used is October Afternoon - Thrift Shop. Very vintage and shabby, just the way I like it =) For a run down of supplies and how I created this card, please watch this video:

Accenting w/Magicals
The Magicals, aka mica powders, from Lindy's Stamp Gang are amazing. They have this two-toned effect that will add a little something extra to your images. Here I show you how I used these magicals to color certain areas of my images.
In this card, I colored the Mad Hatter's hat, his coat and his socks. Also the tea pots in the background were lightly colored with Ponderosa Pine. These pictures don't give these mica powders justice. When they catch the light at the right angle the images come to life.
This image from The Greeting Farm was colored with my copic markers initially. I then followed up with the magicals: Witch's Potion Purple and Freaky Franken-Lime (Haunted Halloween Magicals Set). You can watch a video of me using these here.
The great thing about these magicals is that they have a built in fixative already combined. There is no gum arabic or sealant needed. The mica powders will not rub off. I hope you guys enjoyed my first little tutorial as a Designer for Lindy's Stamp Gang...more to come. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Lindy's Stamp Gang Design Team
Hey guys, this is my second post today. I was contacted by Tracey from Lindy's Stamp Gang, to join their Design Team! I am soo excited. If you haven't heard of this company yet, you should head on over to their website Lindy's Stamp Gang. If you love Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, you will definitely love their products. The sprays and stains have soo much pigment, shimmer, vibrancy...ugh I love their stuff, can you tell?? They have other products that are just amazing. I was introduced to Lindy's Stamp Gang in the beginning of the year through a YouTube video. Since then I've been hooked and the rest is history. I can't wait to start creating....which is now =) Stay tuned for upcoming projects.

Cookbookin` Oct. Sketch Challenge
Hello everyone, here is the October Sketch for the Cookbookin` Blog. All the papers are from the Sugar & Spice Collection:
This was Christmas 2009 spent in the Philippines with my mom's side of the family. We try to go there once a year and it's usually during the holidays. I love my cousins. Instead of using the papers/sketch for a food related topic, I decided to make it about my family. The "recipe" portion on the sketch was moved to accommodate the horizontal recipe cards in the collection.
I layered some prima flowers and added a metal brad in the center. The glittered flourishes are from Making Memories. Head on over to the blog and give this sketch a try. You'll have a whole month to complete it and the prize is the Harvest Kitchen Kit (this is an idea of what you will get):
Good Luck to everyone. Thanks for passing by.
